My family has been making this for years, we love it. I’m sure you will too. Thanks for the great reviews. You must try the strawberry butter. I like the butter to be very cold or frozen when I eat it on the warm bread. I know the bread is good on its own, but it is excellent with the butter. It is definately worth your time and extra strawberries to make the butter. I'm sure it would make good french toast. I've never tried it, because it doesn't last long enough in my house for me to make french toast out of it. Enjoy!

This is my new favorite drink. A bartender made it for me at a local bar a while back and I love it! YUMMY!

My mom invented this recipe one day after a friend of mine got us hooked on Nutella. I've been enjoying it for years now. If you like chocolate and hazelnuts you should try Nutella. It's delicious and addicting. The name, Caterpillar In A Cocoon, is something I named it. I am a daycare provider. Kids seem to eat better if food has fun names. This is also a fun and easy food activity to do with your kids. This is very filling so you might want to cut the tortilla and banana in half for the kids.

This is my mom's recipe. It is easy and delicious.

This is my husband's favorite dessert. We got the recipe from his uncle Larry. I have made it for my family and it has been requested that I bring it to Thanksgiving again this year. I also made it for a BBQ this summer, and a friend who came to the BBQ asked for the recipe so she could make it for Thanksgiving. It's great anytime, but its a must in my house for Thanksgiving.

The other day my friend said she was making Runzas. I had never heard of them so I did a google search and discovered that Beirocks and Runzas are the same thing. I'm from Kansas so I grew up calling them Beirocks. They are evidentually pretty common, but just have a lot of different names. Here is what Wikipedia had to say about them, "A runza (also called a bierock, fleischkuche or Kraut Pirok) is a yeast dough bread pocket with a filling consisting of beef, pork, cabbage or sauerkraut, onions, and seasonings. They are baked in various shapes such as a half-moon, rectangle, round (bun), square, or triangle. In Nebraska, the runza is usually baked in a rectangular shape. The bierocks of Kansas, on the other hand, are generally baked in the shape of a bun. I have eaten them, but I had never made beirocks before. So I thought I'd give it a try. After doing a recipe search and looking at many different variations of the recipe, I made up my own conglomeration of the ingredients I liked, and what I had in the house, and this is what I came up with. I had my Mom, Dad, and Sister over for lunch and they said they were "the best beirocks I have ever had!" I hope you enjoy them.

I just invented SNOWGURT! Snow icecream made with yogurt. It's yummy! My daughter says more more! I was going to make snow icecream with sweetened condensed milk, but didn't want all that sugar. This did the trick. Yummy! We made vanilla, we might try blueberry next! MMMMMM................ MMM the blueberry is wonderful too!

In Loving Memory of Carl Dean Gilbert. My Uncle Dean was a great cook. I found this recipe in a cook book my mom had given me. I made it today and it is delicious. I'm eating some right now. Its very addicting. I've closed the bag about 6 times and I keep having to get more. It's so good. Thanks Uncle Dean. I miss you.
