I use light smart balance spread instead of light butter, but recipezaar did not recognize the ingredient (save 2 calories per slice). The nutrition information is also calculated on just "almond milk". The light unsweetened almond milk is half the calories (save 5 calories per piece of pie). When I did my own calculations, this came out to just 117 calories per slice.... That's AWESOME when you figure there's usually 110 calories in just the crust of a piece of pie!!! Plus it's yummy to boot! If you decide to a little extra sweetener (sugar, xylitol...) to boost the sweetness, you have plenty of wiggle room here... But I think it's sweet enough as written.

    Recipe #362009

This is a recipe for my "under 200 cal" cookbook. I like to make the sandwich with Ezekiel bread most of the time- but it's double the calories of Orowheats "light" whole wheat bread. So when I'm watchings calories I'll use the light bread. This makes two sandwiches. It actually has 167 calories per sandwich- 50 calories from the tuna, 80 calories from the bread, 20 calories from the cottage cheese, and 17 calories from the egg white...

How can you go wrong with bacon and roasted red bell peppers?

    Recipe #246940

Recipe created by Todd Wilbur www.TopSecretRecipes.com I was looking for this recipe last fall for a BBQ here at the house, and didn't find it on RecipeZaar- so I thought I would share. These are INCREDIBLE!!!! Everyone gobbled them up like you wouldn't believe! The swiss cheese is really important to get that Red Robin taste. I replaced the merinade with Lawry's 30 minute Teridyaki merinade with pineapple juice, and I was very happy with the results. (I only merinaded in that merinade for a little over an hour). Cook time does not include merinade time.

    Recipe #246890

A delightful twist on plain old honey mustard. For a little more spice, add some more ground mustard. For a little sweeter dressing add a little more pineapple juice and/or honey.

    Recipe #246694

I thought that everyone drank these, and I have been suprised that no-one I've met has ever tried one before. This is a great treat that we all loved growing up. It's not really much of a recipe, but I thought I would post it anyone so that more people can try this fantastic treat! If you would like a little "punch" just stir in some pineapple juice.

    Recipe #246674

I just love anything with pumpkin, and this is a must try for the holidays! To die for! This is a great cake to made ahead since it is always better the next day.

    Recipe #246464

Super easy and super good. My kind of recipe!

    Recipe #246453

This is so easy to make. The kids love to eat it with their chicken strips. It's good on turkey, chicken and ham sandwiches too! This recipe is for a sauce. To make a salad dressing just add 1 Tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 Tablespoon of vinegar. You might even decide to add a Tablespoon of lemon juice to use it as a sauce. YUMMY! For a little more spice add some more mustard powder, or for a milder sauce add less.

    Recipe #246452

Use just the adobo sauce for something mild. For a little more spice use pureed chipotle peppers with adobo. For more flavor just stir in more pureed chilies in adobo or adobo. Cook time does not include chill time.

    Recipe #246410

I love making cheesecakes. You can imagine how good this is!

    Recipe #246398

This uses left-over chopped turkey. We grew up calling these "turkey burgers"- but that was before ground turkey, so I'm calling them "turkey sandwiches" to avoid any confusion. WE LOVE THESE. They were a favorite with my family when I was growing up, and now they are a favorite with my hubby and kids. Something nice and different. The melted cheese and mayo together are just heavenly. I like my cheese cut up in fairly large cubes, not diced. Adjust the onion to your taste. We look forward to thanksgiving left-overs just for this! FOR OAMC: leave out the mayo and freeze remaining ingredients (expect buttered buns) in an airtight bag with all of the air removed. Let thaw in fridge before adding mayo.

    Recipe #242974

This is a simple iced latte recipe made from coffee with no sweeteners. PLEASE use a good quality coffee; I use Starbucks Sumatra. My husband likes to add a bit of flavored coffee syrup to his, but I like mine unsweetened. My hubby was surprised at how good it was unsweetened. He thought it had a sweetener in it. He thinks that as is it tastes just like a Starkbucks Frappuccino. I'm not sure I remember exactly how theirs tastes- but it can't be much better than this. This recipe makes 2 quarts. It never lasts more than a day or two here. We love this drink.

    Recipe #241593

Less sugar and no artificial sweeteners- but still that nice authentic southern sweet tea. I grew up in Alabama and had sweet tea in my bottles as a baby. This is not as sweet as the tea that I grew up on with 2 cups of sugar in a half gallon, but it's still plenty sweet for me even with just 1/4 cup sugar. I used to make a sugar free version replacing the sugar with Splenda. Over time I developed an allergy to Splenda, so I started using sugar. Using 2 sweeteners helps avoid an after-taste.

    Recipe #241589

Jello squares are yummy- but I just don't agree with all that sugar (or artificial sweeteners). Here's a great recipe to keep the taste of the Jello brand squares and feel a little better about what you're feeding your kids.

    Recipe #241483

This is the easiest dish in the west to make! I buy my ground beef in bulk, then mix in seasonings before I freeze it- so I've always got seasoned ground beef ready to go for this recipe. This is great either with chips, as a casserole, or searved in tortillas. I always top mine with sour cream. Perfect for football parties. For my OAMC I just put all the ingredients expect the extra 1/2 cup cheese in a 1 gallon zip-loc bag, squish to mix, and freeze.

    Recipe #206317

This is similar to the ever-popular "Oreo Dessert" or "Dirt Cake", except I make mine with ice cream, and it's ohhhhh soooo much better! This is hands-down my hubby's favorite dessert.

    Recipe #203509

This is my favorite sandwich! This also works well as a grilled wrap. YUMMM! Cruchy, creamy, and warm with just a little bite to it. I freeze small portions of minced/ pureed chipotle peppers in adobo so that I have them on hand for chipotle recipes and don't waste a whole can when I just need 1-2 peppers. Here's a link to a cookbook with other recipes calling for chipotle peppers in adobo and instructions on how I freeze mine- http://www.recipezaar.com/cookbook.php?bookid=150466

    Recipe #203500

This is the only way I make my baked beans, and now it's the only way everyone that has ever eaten them makes their baked beans. I can't believe a similar recipe wasn't already published! Everyone loves these, and they are SOOO easy. Intead of a fresh chopped onion and green bell pepper, I use a frozen chopped red, green and yellow bell pepper and onion blend. I couldn't get it to recognize that igredient, so I just wrote 1 pepper and 1 onion... I keep the bell pepper and onion blend in my freezer at all times, and use them in a lot of dishes.

    Recipe #203273

After some experimenting I've come up with a creamed spinach recipe that was just what I was looking for. In my opinion, a much better creamed spinach than most other recipes I've tried.
