Calorie and fat reduced salad dressing for those who like Caesar salad but want to cut down on fat and cholesterol. I clipped this recipe from a recent Toronto Globe and Mail newspaper. We tried it last night and enjoyed it.
This is one of my favourite chicken recipes - tasty, low fat, spicy and easy to prepare. I found it in "Pol Martin's Supreme Cuisine" and have made it many times over the years. Hope others enjoy it too.
I got this recipe from the Cottage Life's Summer Weekend cookbook. It is similar to others that I have seen, but just different enough that I thought it worth posting. When I make it in a larger that 9 inch pie plate (when company is coming) I use a cup or so of frozen berries in the cooked sauce to increase the amount of filling and the ratio of fresh to cooked berries.
This is the end result of a number of recipes that I have tried and adapted over the years. The most recent "tweaking" is the use of Bugles instead of cheese crackers, an idea I gleaned from Recipezaar and which my son tells me was an excellent change. I make multiple roast pans full of this over the course of each Christmas season.
