My lovely Boxer, Lilly Belle loves these! Easy to make, they freeze well and they are human quality treats.
I got this recipe from one of our local newscasters and adjusted the seasoning for my preference (I mean Lilly's preference...)
This is a great baked bean recipe and is always a hit with the fans on game day! Change the recipe name to your team and get ready to share! This is an adaptation of an adaptation of an adaptation, so experiment with your local sausages, BBQ sauces...you get the idea! Please note for my recipe I use J C Potter Sage Sausage and Head Country Barbeque Sauce, both made in Oklahoma (and delicious, I might add) and they can be purchased in other states. I also use California Style Garlic Salt -it has some parsley in it.
I use a RED bean pot for mine, but any team color will be fine ;--D
Another variation of the always popular broccoli salad - I like the tanginess and texture of the dried cranberries! This salad is good anytime of the year - the favors really come together the next day (if you have any left....)
I spent this past Thanksgiving in the mile-high city of Denver with my daughter and her boyfriend, just the three of us. Her boyfriend is from the South and he requested two items, Spinach Madeline and Pecan Pie. This is a simple and delicious pecan pie - I should have made two!
Bright flavors! This is a modification of a Barefoot Contessa recipe. Hers called for endive and more avocados, serving one avocado per person. Mine is more of a tossed and assembled salad using baby greens and fewer avocados. It is a highly requested favorite around our home!
You will love these (I hope) - my family and friends sure do! Wings are well, sometimes the same-old, same old. Which prompted me to try something new & different. Easy to throw together, let marinade a few hours, grill, serve and just wait for the smiles.
This is so easy and good! I am a sucker for meatloaf recipes, sometimes I am pleased, but so often, I go back to the basics. I hope you enjoy this as much as my family does. Makes excellent cold or hot sandwiches the next day!
I buy bananas with the idea of eating them right away, but somehow I always end up with a couple that have ripened too much for my taste. I ran across a recipe for Spiced Prune cake in Food Everyday which I baked and it is delicious. So, as most of us cooks do, I decided to try a variation with, you guessed it, bananas! Many combinations of fruit & nuts would be fun to try, pears, pecans, etc....enjoy!
