I have served this original recipe for over 40 years. Very simple recipe!
My kids wanted it, so here it is. Served with baked country pork ribs, spareribs, chops or any meat that was cooked in the oven without the spice sauces. I usually had an apple cake in the oven at the same time because everything was the same temperature. I wanted the flavor of the noodles and the pork with just salt and pepper to come through. Hope you enjoy!
Two cans of tuna and cream cheese and bread cubes and you have the start of a wonderful main dish. You can serve this with cream sauce or plain with any type of red sauce. It is delicious to serve as a slice in a sandwich.
Two ingredients, lime zest and dressing, 10 minutes top to prepare.
I chilled, covered for 2 hours, kids and adults alike loved it! Served with shrimp kabobs and grilled steak. Served in a glass dish, elegant!
So easy and refreshing!
This is a very simple dish and so satisfying. I could not find it posted.
I serve with any meat or fish along with peas and colslaw. I have been cooking this dish for years and made it tonight to serve with Tuna Loaf.
I bought some Jo Jo potatoes(fried potato wedges) from a teen that was working his first job and was proud of his "potatoes". I had some leftover cooked chicken breasts and here is to the result. This is a "teen" dish. You can also used French's French Fried Onion Rings on top instead of potatoes.
I saw a recipe calling for these three foods stacked together for breakfast.I decided this would be the perfect ingredients for a quick breakfast bread since my family would not find cottage cheese appealing for breakfast. There is plenty of energy producing nutrients in this bread or muffins. I blend the cottage cheese first so it is not lumpy.
Because food prices are going through the roof I decided to post. Use day old or older bread. Use the crusts also. This is a German recipe from my relatives. You don't have to use cream, evaporated milk, half and half will do.
I use "I Can't Believe it is Butter" spread instead of butter or margarine. It is my posted recipe and it works well. The idea is taste, not cost. Cook the last five minutes in chicken noodle soup or vegetable soup. Note: You can use Egg Beaters instead of the eggs. Add a dash of cornstarch to the Eggbeaters.
I needed something tangy and a little sweetness to the dressing. Add djion mustard, poppy seed dressing, some mayo (or Miracle Whip), a little sweet relish and you have it. Add a little more cayenne if you wish. This is an optional ingredient.
Raspberry Preserves mixed with hickory barbecue sauce and mild, medium or hot diced green chiles with diced cooked chicken. You can substitute chipotle sauce for the barbecue sauce but it will be hot, hot, hot. Makes a huge pizza. Use my Beer Pizza Crust recipe #245161 or your favorite. Instructions for appetizers as well. I went to a fund raiser and tried a cracker with chipotle sauce and raspberry preserves and almonds and the cracker was soft. I tried to duplicate the sauce and came up with this recipe with hard crackers and scoops and my son's favorite, the PIZZA..
Five to ten minutes prep, bake 35 minutes and serve warm with whipped cream. You may cool also and serve later. You may peel. slice and core. If you like the the peel, leave on the slices. I personally leave the peel on.
A quick dessert for dinner guests. My DH wouldn't eat the A'nju pears plain, so I came up with this recipe. The alcohol cooks off so this is child friendly.
I didn't have fresh green or red peppers to make Spanish Rice so I used a can of zucchini in Italian tomato Sauce Wow! With the spices it was great!
You can use any leftover cubed cooked meat or serve plain. Great the next day also. This is a good make ahead dish and bake later. You will be surprised with the great flavor!
Fresh cauliflower and canned artichoke hearts with Splenda and lemon juice and mayo or Miracle Whip and a dollop of Spinach dip. If you want some color shred one carrot in long shreds. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. ( I shake in a bag. ) Fast!
Simple and great served with any type of seafood or fish. Keeps well.
You can add onions or other crunchy vegies but I like the simplicity.
Make ahead and add the dressing right before serving if you wish.
I serve with grilled shrimp and crab.
Use day old or older bread, white, whole wheat or seven grain, any except rye, break it in small chunks or cut in cubes, place on jelly roll pans. Coat with the seasoning and use on top of tomato based soups, stews or casseroles. Especially good with corn.Yummm!
