Done in a kids cooking class. Healthy.

    Recipe #377993

Another cooking class recipe. This is a very flavorful won ton soup. The oyster sauce and onion soup mix make this soup different from others.

Another cooking class recipe. This is a lovely tortilla soup with homemade tortilla strips. The things that make this recipe a little different from the others is the tomato sauce, rice, cilantro and limes. I'm not a big cilantro fan but I loved it in this recipe. I've found that you don't have to flip the tortilla strips if you use foil on the bottom of your baking sheet. Also, the rice is partially cooked so as to not overcook the rice while simmering in the soup. Prep time is if you already have cooked chicken and rice.

    Recipe #226675

Another cooking class recipe. These are delicate chocolate dessert crepes with a creamy raspberry filling. A suggestion that was made in the class was to possibly substitute the powdered sugar, vanilla and raspberries in the filling with raspberry jam. Serving size is estimated. You might need to double the crepes recipe to use all of that filling.

    Recipe #226668

Another cooking class recipe. This is one of those dessert salads and it's unbelievably rich with sweetness. Note: You may want to use lemon juice on the bananas and apples to prevent them from turning brown before making the salad. Also, the strawberry and dulce de leche amounts are estimates. The recipe says 1 container of strawberries, no syrup and 2 cans dulce de leche.

Another cooking class recipe. This recipe is a real show. One of those "ooh" and "ahh" kinda recipes. Enjoy! Also, it's been suggested that you could possibly make individual volcanoes with paper cups filled with ice cream and following the technique below. (All ingredients are estimates. Sorry, this is just one of those as much as you think kind of recipes)

Another cooking class recipe. Talk about a fresh recipe. The basil amount is approximate.

    Recipe #210628

Another cooking class recipe. The addition of zucchini, bacon and italian seasoning give this pot pie a different twist. This is so flavoraful. If you want to, try this dish over pasta instead of in pie crusts. The ingredient amounts for bacon and mushrooms are estimates.

I had this once before at a church function and I had to search the internet looking for it. Anyways, I found it and because it wasn't on zaar I thought I should post it here. This was the caption on the recipe "Delicious Hawaiian bread that anyone will love - even those who don't like coconut! Eat it for desert or with any meat hot off the grill. Taste great warm or cool."

    Recipe #208991

Another grocery store cooking class recipe. This is a fabulous fruity pasta salad and I don't normally like pasta salads. Preparation doesn't include chill time. Recipe states 1/2 bag of craisins instead of the 1/2 cup. So I took a guess as to the measurement.

    Recipe #192810

I've been going to these local grocery store cooking classes. After the recipes are made we get to try the food and it's about time that I share these recipes on Zaar. This is a fantastic and simple dessert with a beautiful presentation. Perfect for valentine's day or baby showers where the pregnant woman is having a girl because of the lovely pink color. Preparation doesn't include thaw time or refreeze time.

This recipe is from a restaurant in the area called Zupas that I just learned about today. They shared two of their recipes with the public and this was one of them.

This recipe is from a restaurant in the area called Zupas that I just learned about today. They shared two of their recipes with the public and this was the salad dressing that went with the Zupas Summer Chicken Salad (also posted).

This is my dad's favorite juice to make. My dad's lemon tree has been around since before I can remember and he used to always buy oranges in order to make this drink almost every night. I don't know why I waited until now to finally ask him for the recipe. But here it is! Sometimes my dad mixes it up by adding some lime juice. Update: Just a note to myself for future experiments. There is a restaurant here called Tucano's that makes Brazilian Lemonade (lime lemonade). I learned a while ago from a former waitress that the secret ingredient is sweetened condensed milk. So in the future I'll try adding some. (They also offer flavors like Raspberry, Guava, Mango, Pineapple and Strawberry Brazilian Lemonade, so you might want to try other flavors in place of the orange.)

My mom often substituted the ground sausage with leftover pork roast from Sunday dinner. Leftover ham would work well too. Feel free to play around with the vegetables, using different kinds or omitting what you don't like. Other seasonings I sometimes throw in teriyaki sauce (instead of soy sauce), sesame oil, and/or a little bit of red pepper. All seasonings are normally added by taste. Food processing the vegetables gives the fried rice a more colorful presentation along with encouraging those who don't like vegetables to eat their vegetables.

This is a fabulous Cuban Chicken and Rice Dish! This recipe originally asked for a full frying chicken but I've changed it to include just two chicken breasts so my small family can eat it and still have leftovers for lunch.

This is a very flexible recipe. Use whatever stir fry vegetables you have on hand, and use whatever leftover meat you have on hand. The flavor of the ramen doesn't matter.

This is another Baked Fried Chicken recipe that also has a gravy sauce. Perfect served with mashed potatoes and corn.

    Recipe #157185

The chicken doesn't have to be marinated in teryaki sauce but it's good that way too. This recipe works well with leftover turkey too.
