    I haven't bought a loaf of store bought bread for almost a year and have experimented with quite a few recipes. I made this recipe up, after having a few doorstops, and now pretty much use this recipe all the time. It comes out very light, and tastes like white bread!

    This has to be one of the best antipasto recipes ever! The original recipe came from one of those cookbooks where everyone submits a recipe but it has been modified. The only reason for this is when my Dad and Sister were making it they weren't sure if you were supposed to drain the olives and pickled onions, ...they didn't and it came out great! The longer you can let it sit the better it taste. It is quite a costly recipe to make so what I do is buy the "sale" items throughout the year and make it up a bit before Christmas, that's why I'm posting it now---watch for sales :)

    Here's a great recipe for crackers to use at Christmas. I've made this several ways, instead of just hamburger I've used a combination of ground deer and ground beef or ground moose and beef. You could probably use any combination of meat but I suggest adding a non-lean ground meat such as beef or pork because you don't want it to be too dry. I have cooked this on the second day and it's pretty much the same as the fourth day but you should let it sit for a minimum of 24 hours with at least one good mix during that time.

    This is great canned! It is very similar to the "real" stuff. I always have an abundance of apples and plums in season and it's a great way to use them up. The original recipe called for 4 1/2 cups of sugar but I found it too sweet so I reduced it. It can be used on meat, eggs, and for a dipping sauce.

    An old family favourite, I remember eating this when I was a kid! Velveeta cheese was cheap way back when, but not anymore...so I use cheese slices, grated cheddar, or even Cheez Whiz. Eggs, crackers, and milk are the rest of the ingredients. Prep time does not include 1/2 hour soaking.

    A mini yorkshire pan and a Bamix or Braun electric hand mixer or blender make these rise as high as they do! Do not use a Kitchen Aid or two beater blender, they will not rise very high, (I've tried). They are delicious when served up with a beef roast and scrumptious gravy.
