A lovely combination of two of my favorite dishes...bruschetta and chicken with mushrooms and cheese. It's quick, easy and a family pleaser. Omit the bread and it is even low carb!

This was a combination of a number of recipes I came across trying to find one that would use the crock pot and the ingredients I had on hand. It turned out FABULOUS! I served it over well-toasted garlic bread with a salad and sliced cantaloupe on the side. Healthy, low carb, simple and impressive.

Mom and I threw together a marinade this afternoon. The flavors were subtle yet delicious! I served these with grilled steak and veggie kabobs. The leftovers will be great on a salad tomorrow!

I love Spanakopita. This recipe appeals to me because it has the basic tastes, without all the carbs. Makes a great breakfast, lunch or dinner. Recipe was gathered from an unknown source and put here for safe-keeping.

Pulled from another website and I want to make it available for my family. Sounds simple and good.

Salt is necessary to brine a protein. I could explain it scientifically but I am sure nobody wants to hear about osmosis/concentration gradients and hyper-hypotonic solutions. It's just necessary. We don't like salt at our house. I've been working on figuring out the mimimal amount of salt necessary that will still allow the flavors of the brine to penetrate the meat. We like a simple brine when roasting chicken. Sometimes we even brine a chicken prior to following another recipe calling for rubs or the addition of other spices. If you have herbs or spices you like it is simple to alter this recipe to fit those likes/dislikes. I'm still playing with this so comments would be more than welcome.'s where I am thus far.

A colorful, flavorful salad that used up what I had sitting in the produce drawer. A perfect blend of spicy and tart.

A friend at work shared this wonderful recipe with me. It is delicious. I serve it with Recipe #139174 Romaine Lettuce with Cilantro Dressing. Great use of leftover chicken as well!

My secretary introduced me to this strange combination of flavors...and I love it. It sounds crazy but give it a try.

A family favorite in my house. Announce to anybody that I am making Taco Salad and the house is mysteriously full just about dinner time. Many childhood memories have been created over this time honored dish. May your family do the same. All ingredients are "guessed". This is a dish that you eyeball appropriate amounts.

A favorite around our house! A versatile use for inexpensive cuts of beef. We throw this in the crockpot in the morning and by dinner time we have flavorful shredded beef for tostadas, burritos or tacos.
