This recipe came from my grandfather. He was a very Cajun man. there wasn't anything he made that didn't have a Cajun spin. He also was the cook of his very own restaurant. I learned a lot from him as far as cooking great Cajun food goes. He was the real deal.
I came up with this recipe a couple of years ago when I was pregnant. I know a recipe that is actually good while being pregnant??? Unheard of!! I had seen a lot of recipes for white chili but needed something thicker and heartier. I was eating for two. This chili is also still one (if you are like my husband) you can eat your macaroni noodles with it, or just a simple grilled cheese.
This is a recipe that has been handed down through generations. At least 6 generations of women in my family has had and made these biscuits. I like this recipe because once you have had these, you won't want another biscuit to go with a roast, Thanksgiving dinner, or stew for that matter. They great with breakfast or as a midday snack.
