This is a very thick, hearty chili made with taco seasoning mix, fire roasted tomatoes, kidney and black beans. It goes together really quick and is so delicious! Serve topped with your choice of sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, etc.
Although I have not tried this yet, I was so excited to find this recipe. I love bloody marys and this is a brilliant way to enjoy them, especially in the summertime! I am sure they are so refreshing. I will try them leaving out the vodka also. Recipe from Gourmet magazine.
If you have not tried fire roasted tomatoes, you are really missing out. In my opinion, the roasting brings out the sweetness of the tomatoes and it is much less acidic. This recipe makes enough for about 3/4 to 1 pound of pasta. A wonderful tasty meal in 30 minutes.
I have made umpteen lemon pies in my past and many of them from scratch. However, I always go back to this one which starts with a lemon pie filling mix. The added lemon juice gives a very fresh flavor. Hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
