Raw apple pie from Ani Phyo's "Ani's Raw Food Kitchen" book, p. 211

    Recipe #363245

Raw nut paste for making "Sushi" rolls. VERY yum! From Ani Phyo's "Ani's Raw Food Kitchen" cookbook, p. 167.

    Recipe #355066

A twist on a classic, this vegan recipe uses tahini to increase the protein and add a nice mellowing nutty flavor to spaghetti sauce. It's really easy to make and very yummy. I like to make a batch for the week and take it for lunch; keeps well for several days in the fridge. I also use whatever pasta I have, and try to keep the whole-grain or sprouted varieties to increase the nutritional value even more. The ingredients reported here are direct from the book; I use 3 TBSP Tahnini and 6 oz Tomato paste, to make it slightly less nutty and more tomato-y. I got this recipe from the book "Vegan Cooking for Everyone" by Leah Leneman.

    Recipe #352106

A friend of mine from long ago showed me this recipe around Thanksgiving one year; I remember her telling me something like it's a traditional Jewish recipe, but I can't find it anywhere. It's delicious, defines simplicity, and it's all natural and vegan (but my carnivore friends love it too!). I recommend getting the ingredients fresh from the farmer's market or your own garden for full effect!

    Recipe #318652

This is a green-curry based dish and is quite easy to make and equally tasty! I found the recipe in July 2008 edition of Good Housekeeping magazine. I made a full batch and it served me 3 very filling meals, 1 fresh and two leftovers that had kept in the fridge over several days. I really like this recipe because I'm a novice in the kitchen, but I love fresh, rich flavors. This recipe gives you both! Easy, yummy, fun! Note 1: I got frozen shrimp from the grocery store and thawed them overnight in the fridge and then shelled and rinsed them - it made no difference as far as I could tell. Note 2: If you're not particularly concerned about appearance, you need only 1 lime - just be careful that you grate it such that you can still slice it and use the wedges later - less wasteful that way. Note 3: I made my own rice that I had at home instead of buying the recommended pre-cooked kind; the amount and kind of rice you serve with the shrimp asparagus mixture is purely preference.

    Recipe #318650

Easy to make almond-butter cookies, frosting optional. The flavor is delicate and very yummy. I am a novice in the kitchen and made these one night in about 30 min on a whim. The frosting hardens quickly, but it's easy to add water and microwave 15-30 seconds to soften it up again for spreading. I found this recipe on the back of the Publix sweet cream butter (unsalted) package; the credits on the package are "Publix Apron's Simple Meals"
