    Recipe #465501

I didn't think this was going to work, but this is really amazing. Found it (then tweeked) while net-surfing for a friend who's allergic.

    Recipe #434016

I like dandelions; not in the middle of my yard, but my day is ALWAYS brighter when either of my kids give me a handful of bright yellow flowers. And learning that I can EAT them make them all the cooler! I think this syrup has a deeper flavor than the sugary stuff you get at the store (although it's not health food!) Found it in a magazine or newspaper, years ago.

I made this for supper one day, but the leftovers have been eaten for breakfast, tea-time and a midnight snack! Satisfies a sweets craving without endangering a diet.

    Recipe #159913

Sturdy bread bowls to serve anything in! Especially good with chilli.

    Recipe #159908

Fun to make, good to eat! Adapted from "Crosby's Molasses Favorites". I especially like them with 'Prune Butter'(recipe #114094) instead of oil.

    Recipe #153369

The time the pastry needs to sit is perfect for preparing the filling!

    Recipe #153360

I love nuts, and I love chocolate, and this fancy (but easy) desserts satisfys both! For company, drizzle melted chocolate on top, or use dollops of whipped cream and chocolate-dipped whole walnuts. From "Crosby's Molasses Favorites".

From "International Vegitarian Cusine" - a book I saved from my mom's garage sale. My hubby's only comment? He was worried I had undercooked the meat!

    Recipe #144593

    A good made-before kid pleaser.

If you're in a rush, skip topping the bean mix with biscuits. Instead pour the cooked mix over halved dinner rolls.

I know. One more recipe for popcorn balls, but I looked, and this is the most basic you can get. I made two batches, one with two handfuls of unsalted peanuts.

    Recipe #143526

DO NOT EAT! A fast way to press flowers. The computer insists only edible flowers should be used, but I've used anything that grows in my garden.

Simplified version of a Homemakers magazine recipe- the original was garnished with lily bulbs and asparagus!

    Recipe #142163

This is based on a South Beach Diet recipe I found in Prevention magazine.

This fancy little dish looks like you spent way more time in the kitchen than you will! The name is courtesy of my husband, who likes this in spite of himself.

Just one more variation of the quintessential brownie! This one's from Kraft. My kids loved helping me make these - especially the cookie crushing part! Feel free to use 1/2 cup carob or chocolate chips instead of squares, or try 1/4 cup cocoa, 1/4 cup sugar and 3 tbsps butter (if your house is like mine, and all chocolate chips get eaten before you can bake!)

Just one way my family enjoys cabbage. Red cabbage is the most impressive looking, but regular cabbage will do.

Unique flavor. Great with a cranberry sauce and thin shaved turkey breast on top for a brunch party.

I found this in an old church-fundraising cookbook. It was so easy, I tried it with chicken in place of the beef. Great for social dinners - get it started before company comes. You can keep it warm for quite awhile if you get to talking!
