This dish is loved by all who try it -if you like mexican food of course. It's a bit different from the other recipes posted so I thought I'd include it. It's a staple sunday football munchie and it's quite easy to make so you don't mind whipping it up. It makes a lot so it's good for a crowd and I often get requests for the recipe.
This is an old family recipe that my grandfather picked up in Alabama during the depression. It sounds super sweet, but actually it's very light and it goes nicely with buttered biscuits. It makes enough for a crowd so the more biscuits you make decides how many people you shall feed.
These cookies look very festive at Christmas time if you use red candied cherries. I also substitute plain holiday m&m's (broken into pieces) for the chocolate chips. If you use the green candied cherries they might look nice for St.Patrick's day.
This stuff is addicting!! I serve salsa with broken pieces of bread or crackers. You may toss it with pasta or put on a salad, the possibilities are endless. I'm often asked to make it for parties because most people just adore this dip. -ADDED: I just recently discovered that this is Michael Chiarello's recipe & here all this time I thought my mother in law was a genius for coming up with this wonderful recipe.
These taste just like the real thing, but you get the pleasure of making them yourself. I wrap each snicker square in wax paper squares and twist the ends to secure. I suggest cutting smaller squares (about 1") because these are kinda rich.
This is a simi difficult recipe, but the result is ever so delectable. I had something like this at Crustaceans in San Francisco. They used the wonderful Dungeness crabs, but here in Virginia I had to settle for Blue crabs, which turned out just as nice.
This recipe is simple and delicious. It has a cheesy flavor although it contains no cheese. My mother and I loved to eat lunch at High's icecream parlor just so we could enjoy this soup. One day my mother asked for the recipe and it was as simple as this. It tastes much more complicated.
This recipe is very easy and delicious. It's great for casserole parties, but be sure to have the recipe on hand because in my experience people will request it. An old friend of my mothers gave us this recipe and it's been a favorite in our family since. The leftovers (if you have any) reheat very well. It's also a good way to get your child to eat broccoli.
