Recently we were told our son was allergic to milk, eggs, and peanuts so we have made some pretty major diet changes in our house. I love food so it has been pretty hard, but it has also challenged to me try new things and come up with new dishes to prepare. This sandwich is the result of that. Measurements are just estimates since I don't really measure things out for a sandwich but wanted to give you an idea to base your own sandwich off of, as well as for the nutritional info. It can obviously be doubled or tripled or whatever you need depending on how many sandwiches you are making. In this sandwich I can honestly say I don't miss the eggs or dairy! Its simple but oh so flavorful!

    Recipe #349436

My own spin on deviled eggs compiled from many other recipes.

    Recipe #272069

I had some ripe avocados I needed to use up and thought I'd make a guacamole. However I couldn't find a recipe on zaar that worked for us. They either had things I just didn't have on hand, or were made with things like sour cream or mayo which are both foods we can no longer enjoy since finding out my son is allergic to both dairy and eggs. So I whipped this up with things I had on hand and we enjoyed it very much. Cook time is chill time.

    Recipe #354928

This is another one from Smoothies and Summer Drinks that I am posting for safekeeping. It looks and sounds delicious!

    Recipe #292951

Great way to jazz up your sandwich! From TOH.

    Recipe #294169

This is the perfect dish to change things up a bit, while still using familiar ingredients that can be found almost anywhere.

    Recipe #451000

This is another recipe I got from a little book of smoothies and summer drinks. Tastes GREAT!

    Recipe #292936

I got done with dinner tonight and had a bunch of weight watchers points left over so decided to splurge and see what I could throw together for dessert. This was the result and it was SO worth those 8pts lol.

    Recipe #426369

After making some homemade raspberry liqueur I have been searching for ways to use it. I decided to try and create a little something and this is the result. It is the type of drink I enjoy... not to strong, and not real sweet. The name is a little silly, but Dh and I couldn't settle on anything better lol.

    Recipe #299843

From Smoothies and Summer Drinks. I thought this sounded interesting and wanted to put it here for safe keeping til I got a chance to try it.

    Recipe #292945

I came up with this recipe as a result of needing to do something with all the leftover thanksgiving turkey and also having not made it to the store for a while and so ingredients were just what I had on hand. It is very easy! It would be great with some celery or maybe peas added as well.

    Recipe #267771

These are my own creation, full of flavor and healthier without the butter! As soon as you bite in you get a burst of cherry and banana and they are pretty moist, though firm. I hope you enjoy them! I made half with the coconut on top and half with the pecans and couldn't decide which was better. To get the mandarin orange juice I pureed a can of mandarin oranges (drained of syrup) and just drained them in a sieve. (my son gets the oranges for lunch)

    Recipe #284123

This is a recipe that came from some of my DH's old recipe cards. It makes nice creamy filled and simple quesadillas. Perfect for a snack or even a main dish.

    Recipe #290623

This is my Grandma Dorothy's recipe for a slightly different take on your average chili. We ate this very often growing up. It is just as good reheated and even can be frozen. Simple to make on those nights you don't have a lot of time, and is a great way to stretch a dollar! When my mom makes this she makes it in a very large pot and adds more water and spices, but still uses the same amount of sauce, and soup, etc. So you can stretch this to more if you'd like by adding more water and spice to your taste. She also doesn't usually measure things out so estimated on ingredient amounts as well as time to make.

    Recipe #290635

I saw a version of this cake made by Rachel Ray on her 30 minute meals show and decided to try playing around with it at home. I loved how easy this was to put together and it doesn't look bad either! It sure does taste wonderful! I bet you could do all sorts of liqueur and ice cream combos in this or even add just syrups and fruits in it or nuts. Very versatile! Cook time includes freeze time!

    Recipe #280250

Yummy crock pot recipe for moist tasty stuffing.

    Recipe #272068

This is a recipe from my Tastes of Home Quick Cooking book of 2006. It originally calls for a jar of alfredo sauce, but I am not a fan so I used Recipe #260818 (Lower Fat Alfredo Sauce) and changed the servings to 3 to get a perfect amount. The pasta is wonderful and through my searches on zaar I haven't found one just like it. It is even better paired along with a glass of red wine!

    Recipe #286859

I needed to get creative one night w/ things I had on hand and this was the result. Dh gave it 5 stars, which is rare from him, so I figured I would post it here. Use this recipe for the Recipe#429198.

    Recipe #429627

This is the way I grew up eating grits in the northwest and we often ate them for breakfast! It's simple and very tasty!

    Recipe #275553

One night I really needed a dessert fix and only had a few things on hand. I searched on recipe zaar for a quick easy recipe and saw mention of an eggnog pudding. But it didn't call for eggnog. It instead called for rum extract but I didn't have any. I did have eggnog though so decided to try this.... I was happy I did!
