This is an exceptionally easy recipe which is tastes great. You can buy a box of Kellogg's Seasoned Cornflake Crumbs so you don't have to crush them. The box will last a long time. It's usually by the stovetop stuffing or bread. The amount of margarine is approximate - you may need to melt a little more so I would make sure that you have about 1 1/2 sticks on hand just to be on the safe side. If using a tub of margarine 6 tablespoons is a little more than 1/3 cup.
This recipe came from a Bisquick Cookbook. I love the flavor combination of the vegetables used and it is so easy to make. I substituted the Bisquick baking mix with the Master Mix (Homemade Bisquick Substitute) from RecipeZaar posted by Cindy Lynn recipe # 45055 substituting the powdered milk with powdered buttermilk and Safflower Oil for the shortening. I liked the homemade version much more than the store bought Bisquick.
This sounds like a pretty easy recipe that would taste very good, but I haven't tried it yet. Please note that the cheese is optional. I would probably add a vegetable such as broccoli for myself, but I didn't include that in the recipe since many children don't like broccoli.
My mom used to make tomatoes stuffed with tuna salad so I've always liked the tuna / tomato flavor combination, but I found them a little hard to eat since the tomato wedges were so large. I recently created this recipe which I love. The apple cider vinegar is a key ingredient in that it cuts down on the fishy taste of the tuna fish. I make tuna fish sandwiches with this. Enjoy.
Every once in a while I crave pork and beans and when I do I love to make this recipe. It has a slightly sweet filling and is topped with flaky biscuits and cheese for a nice flavor contrast making it almost like a pie.
This is the best pot pie I've ever had! The filling is similar to a chicken flavored white sauce topped with a crescent topping. For best results use KNORR Chicken Bouillon - there is something about the seasonings they use that make it extra special. I also love the fact that it's pretty easy to make.
This is a quick and easy meal to prepare for dieters. The chicken is very flavorful and juicy. I recommend getting the Lawry's brand of seasoned salt because it tastes wonderful. I like to serve this with a baked sweet potato. Sweet potatoes help your body to burn fat and they complement the flavor of the chicken. To microwave the sweet potato, pierce it all over with a fork. Cook for 6-9 minutes depending on the size or until tender. I like to mix cinnamon and sugar and lightly sprinkle it on the sweet potato.
This sounds excellent, but I haven't tried the casserole yet. I have, however, tried the Sloppy Joes and they are fabulous (it's a modified version of My Family's Favorite Sloppy Joes). The original recipe for the crescent casserole simply called for a package of the sloppy joe mix which would be prepared according to instructions on the package, but now that I've had home made Sloppy Joes I don't want to go back to the packaged stuff.
These are very sweet, but they are heavenly. I had them once at a sleep over when I was 5. They made such an impression I craved them as an adult and I only had them that one time. I was ecstatic when I finally found the recipe at age 30!
This is one of my favorite chicken recipes. It creates a sweet cinnamon sauce. I think it deserves more than 5 stars. (You cannot tell that it is made with preserves.)
1 1/2 Cups Apricot Preserves is an 18 ounce jar.
This recipe is highly recommended! It's an excellent copycat of Portillo's Italian Beefs. Two important notes - do NOT substitute the Knorr Chicken Bouillon with another brand - you will not get the same results. And Yes, you want CHICKEN flavor. (Please note that the Italian Salad Dressing Mix package is .7 ounce, but this size wasn't recognized when I submitted the recipe; I'm sure it would turn out fine if the package is a little more or a little less.) Serve with Italian Rolls or French Bread and additional hot peppers for those who like spicer Italian Beefs. I prefer to use Hot Giardiniera Relish instead of hot peppers, but this wasn't recognized in RecipeZaar. The nutritional information doesn't include the rolls.
This super moist bread gives you the best of both worlds. It's a great way eat a little healthier without sacraficing great taste. This bread is a little on the sweet side, but I feel that it complements the cranberry orange flavor perfectly.
The whole wheat pastry flour is a softer grain of wheat & produces a lighter texture than regular whole wheat flour.
I used Enova Oil which claims to be one of the healthier oils, but recipezaar didn't recognize that ingredient so I listed safflower oil which is very similar. (Enova is made with soybean oil which some are allergic to.)You may want to use slightly less than 1/3 cup oil.
Orange peel is in the spice section.
Best served warm - reheat leftovers in microwave 30 seconds.
Someone made this for my going away party and I could not stop eating it! It is incredibly smooth and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. An excellent alternative to your standard fruit or vegetable tray. I've always included nuts for the sweet/salty combination.
