"If Frodo had these on his mystical journey, he wouldn't have gone hungry." --forgotten coworker. I bring these bars with my on multi-day hikes and camping trips. They don't spoil for weeks, they are lightly sweet and very filling, high in protein, fat, carbohydrates, and fiber. Not for weight loss, but excellent for energy. I also bring them in to work as a sweet treat to share. I usually get lots of recipe requests :-).

    Recipe #481031

Colourful, crisp, tangy, my favourite bean salad. I adapted this recipe from A great dish to bring to a potluck, or on a picnic.

    Recipe #481030

    Quick easy yummy balsamic dressing.

    Recipe #480995

Homemade Barbeque Sauce is so much tastier than store-bought, AND you can adjust the ingredients to your own tastes to make it perfect! :-D Add more liquid smoke for smokier, more hot sauce for spicier, more molasses for sweeter, more vinegar for tangier.... Making barbeque sauce is no more difficult than making a quick homemade spaghetti sauce. Store it in a clean jar in the fridge, and it keeps for a couple weeks.

    Recipe #480992

Dense, moist, savoury, this vegan lentil loaf is also great for sharing with gluten-intolerant coworkers at office potlucks. I adapted this recipe from when I was looking for a new lentil loaf recipe. It's delish! It's also the first vegan lentil loaf recipe that holds it's shape well. For onions-and-garlic-free barbeque sauce, look for my posted homemade barbeque sauce recipe.

    Recipe #480990

Lentils are my power food. I always feel more energized after eating them. This lentil loaf is one of my favourite ways to enjoy them. Seasoned with aged cheddar and spaghetti sauce, this loaf is easy to make, and popular at family dinners. I've brought it to Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners at my parents home, and my meat-loving, lentil-hating family actually likes it :-D.

    Recipe #480987

Adapted from one of the best vegetarian recipes on the internet, I like to make triple batches of this recipe, wrap each burrito, and freeze them for OAMC and for packed lunches. When I'm leaving for work, I can quickly grab a frozen burrito and a salad or a piece of fruit, and go. The burritos reheat easily in the microwave. This recipe is easy to assemble in large quantities.
