A light dish that is wonderful for summertime or for dreaming about being at the shore. It blends the flavors of coconut, pineapple, and banana that complement each other so well. I use cooked tail-off shrimp and canned pineapple as it makes the preparation much shorter
A versatile dish with southwest flavor that can be stuffing for your burritos or a hearty dip for tortillas. Vegetarian and delicious! My family has been known to eat this wrapped in floured tortillas, on tortilla chips, and even piled over a thick slice of toasted bread and eaten with a fork!
A mix of sweet fruits and veggies piled over chicken breast, cooked in their own juices!!! A nice low fat summer treat that doesn't take long to prep. Another concoction I dreamed up based on the contents of my refrigerator!
Get ready to raid your liquor cabinet! A moist and delicious treat for any time of the day with ingredients you probably already have! My husband ate half a loaf in one sitting!! Haven't tried freezing yet as it doesn't last that long, but stays for at least a week in the fridge :)Makes 2 loaves.
A variation on an old Betty Crocker favorite. These are a holiday staple in our family and you WILL NOT EAT JUST ONE! One of my most guarded recipes, now shared with the zaar community. I hope you enjoy.
(recipe easily doubles)
Tender chicken slowly baked in apple butter. . .sure to be a favorite with your family just as it is with mine! This is my own concotion and should prove very simple to make for even the beginner cook. You just may already have all of the ingredients in your home! Just be sure that the chicken breasts are not too thick (more than 1 1/2 inches) or you may need to increase cooking time.
