I am always looking for easy recipes with maxiumum flavor, and this one is it. The chicken comes out crispy and golden yellow. It has only 5 ingredients, and comes from Martha Stewart's Everyday Food show. I didn't even use the limes and it came out great, and the carrots come out tasting like candy.
This recipe comes from my mother in law, who is from England. My husband ate this every Sunday growing up. It is important to have a meat thermometer handy so you don't have to cut into the chicken to see if it is done, otherwise you will end up with dry chicken.
You can also add some par-boil potatoes the last 45 minutes to an hour for a complete meal. Enjoy!
This is light, creamy, and very easy.
I am not a vegetable lover, and neither is my 1 year old son or my husband, but this is some "good stuff".
It would probably be excellent at a pot luck if doubled.
This is a simple and delicious southern fried catfish recipe that I learned from my grandma. This is the same catfish you get in Texas home cooking restaurants, but with less grease.
The measurements are not exact, but are very easy to figure out. Serve hot with tartar sauce. Mmmmmm!
Wow! These are so good. I literally closed my eyes when I ate them. Your family will want them, and your guests will beg you for the recipe.
This is a Rachael Ray all time hit. The fresh piece of ginger is key here (only costs about .30 or.40 cents), so don't short cut with dried or you will be missing out. You can use regular raisins if you don't have golden.
I never thought I would prefer a baked "fry" over a regular french fry until I tried these. Wow! It is all in the preparation, and it may seem tricky at first, but once you have the technique down, you will be making these all the time.
Follow the instructions carefully for best results. Who needs McDonalds?
Forget that canned stuff! This is so easy and you will want to make it again and again. This is from Rachael Ray, and I think it is one of her best! You can lower the fat content by nixing the bacon and using veggie oil. You can also use less half and half, and more broth or milk. (I prefer it with less half and half than called for)
Perfect on a cold day! Enjoy!
I got this recipe from mom, who got it out of an old cookbook, and decided to rename it "Mom's coffee cake" . In fact, she renamed everything "moms" if it was good!
Anyways, it is a great basic coffee cake, and can be made with or without the nuts. Impress your work friends, church group, or house guests. It is yummy, and tastes better the next day.
