I got this from neighbors probably 40 years ago. A few tweaks and voila (don't know the Spanish word). Add/omit anything you like.

    Recipe #421884

What's better? Cheese, Chiles, Rice and Sour Cream? Feel free to add other ingredients. I don't think you can mess this up. A great way to use left over rice. Prep time includes 20 min. to cook raw rice. Great as a side for a Mexican Meal. Also good with more cheese.

    Recipe #353916

Easy and delicious spread. Men love it. Don't maker extra. This does not keep. The bacon gets soft.

    Recipe #349225

A rich, creamy, filling soup for a cold dreary night. Another winner from my hometown (Wichita, KS) newspaper, the Eagle.

    Recipe #348922

My home town of Wichita, KS (Peerless Princess of the Plains) has a newspaper (the Eagle) that publishes a holiday cookbook of winners of the cooking and recipe contest every year. This recipe won 1st place several years ago. This recipe lends itself to all kinds of inspiration. Have fun.

    Recipe #348912

Homestyle Etoufee from a recipe from my cousins wife, a real, native Cajun. She says this is her grandmothers recipe. There is never any left no matter how much I make, and everyone always wants the recipe. Etoufee made easy, keeps several days, and freezes well. That is if you have any left over. Double the amount of seafood for a real feast. Also good with chicken and chicken boullion.
