These are full of flavor and make a wonderfully rich tomato gravy to serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or the meatballs themselves. These are always well received and I think that they have a much better flavor than the tomato soup based sauces.
My Aunt's husband was an Aleutian Native American and taught her this recipe, as it was one of his favorite desserts. No, it isn't diet food, but if you are living and working in Alaska, you probably aren't going to worry too much about a few extra calories now and then...
This is a wonderful and full flavored soup that doesn't even hint that it happens to be a lite soup. A great tortilla soup for those who prefer chicken to beef. *A reviewer suggested adding some fresh, chopped cilantro, so I added 1/4 c. and it was delightful. Thank you for your suggestions that made a good recipe great!
This is my kids favorite homemade cocoa recipe. This recipe was made for them (and passed down to them) by their Grammy. It is perfect for warming up kids (and parents) after raking leaves or playing in the snow!
From the start my husband was a little overwhelmed with the size and tenor of my very Dutch extended family and right away deemed us "the Dutch Mafia". Somehow that stuck and now even gets tagged onto the meat loaf!
My younger sister found this recipe on a VERY old spam can at an old family house at Lake Chelan. I modified how I serve it (in slices and by using lite spam) but, the rest of the recipe is the same...a family favorite. Thank you Daralyn!
