This recipe is from a friend in a little town on the central coast of California and is named for the river (usually a dry bed) that runs through the town. It is supposed to be a 100 year old recipe from Cochise County in Arizona. Although the ingredients and method of making the chili looks a little strange, it turns out absolutely wonderful. It won first prize in the town's chili cook-off in 2007. I find it easier to dice the meat if you partially freeze it first.

    Recipe #334633

Another recipe from Cuisine magazine. Delicious. We all know that the crispiest fries will always be deep fried but these come close and the flavor is outstanding.

    Recipe #312305

I got this recipe from Cuisine Lite and made a few adjustments. You can use either fresh or frozen green beans. It is now one of my favorites. Hope you enjoy it.

    Recipe #237185

Another delicious soup created around a basic soup base.

    Recipe #213401

Another delicious soup created around a basic soup base.

    Recipe #213400

This is the ultimate gin and tonic - the way it's supposed to be made.

    Recipe #212791

Another "Good Eats" recipe from Alton Brown. When I first saw him make it, I thought it sounded rather strange - but it is so very good.

    Recipe #208092

Easy to make dip from Rachael Ray that is quick and delicious and tends to disappear quickly when served.

    Recipe #196358

Like porridge and roasted meat, griddle cakes are ancient preparations. Corn griddle cakes are a simple folk food in dozens of cultures. This recipe is from the Posh on Pico cafe in Los Angeles.

    Recipe #165387

A simple recipe that tastes and looks elegant.

    Recipe #153713

This is an extremely simple recipe (if you can even call it a recipe) - just a matter of putting two ingredients together. This is a MUST for Super Bowl.

    Recipe #153711

This is a recipe from an old diner on Mustangg's Island, off the coast of Corpus Christi, TX. I often make this without the chicken but with extra Jack cheese. I also make it as a layered casserole if I'm feeling too lazy to roll the tortillas

    Recipe #151650

Easy as pie, healthy and low fat - and delicious. Who could ask for anything more?

    Recipe #514091

This is an easy and delicious way of cooking fish like Swai or Tilapia. Comes from a recipe on the back of a bag of frozen Swai, with a few modifications. I use store bought salsa - my favorite is Mango Lime Salsa but any type of Mango salsa would work well.

    Recipe #513677

I got this recipe from a Campbell's soup ad and have done some tweaking of my own. Let me know if you like it.

    Recipe #512644

This recipe is from Sunset Magazine and is from John Moeller, a former White House chef. I love risotto but this one is - hands down - my favorite.

    Recipe #509996

A wonderful recipe from Heifer International catalog/newsletter.

    Recipe #509191

I got this recipe from thesimpledelights.com and although the recipe itself is for a group, it's easy to break it down to "per person". Very simple, nutritious and delicious.

    Recipe #500597

This is a recipe from Sunset Magazine. I made them this past weekend and they are the most moist and delicious muffins I've ever eaten. Low fat and healthy but don't let that put you off. :)

    Recipe #499537

An easy and decadent dessert - very good after Ravioli Lasagna Rustico and Caesar Salad Simpliciatto. Most ingredients are from Trader Joe's but I'm sure other brands have them too.
