The trick to making 100% whole wheat bread is the extra knead which gives the yeast and gluten a second chance to creat a lighter loaf. Gluten gives the whole wheat flour the structure needed for a good loaf. If your store doesn't carry it, try the local health food store.

    Recipe #27060

This is the very best way to use up left over corned beef or a great dinner using deli corned beef slices.

    Recipe #22987

This carrot cake is like no other you have ever had. Three layers of carrots and fruit topped in a cream cheese frosting with a hint of orange.

    Recipe #32177

This salsa recipe comes from a Mexican co-worker. She makes it every time we have food at work. She doesn't speak much English and I don't speak much Spanish, but I did manage to ask her how to make her salsa. She wrote it in Spanish, but I was able to translate it. Like me, she doesn't measure anything. That meant that I had to try it myself a few times to get it right. I hope you enjoy this simple and delicious salsa as much as I do either on chips or your favorite Mexican dish.

    Recipe #290438

There are many versions of meatballs in Mexico. None of them are browned, but are poached in the sauce. Some are stuffed with hard-boiled eggs while others use chilies as part of the sauce. Some might roll the meatballs in sauted rice before cooking. This is a mild version. Spice it up as you like using chilies in the sauce.

    Recipe #183161

Your kids will love this fast and easy soup and it is so good for them and you both.

    Recipe #18522

I have never tried this but it was a recipe request on the forum. I guessed at the times and yields because it was not listed on the recipe and wouldn't post unless I did. LOL

    Recipe #15247

Yeah, I know there are, like, a thousand meat loaf recipes posted online. The glaze and cheese in this one makes it special. I hope you will agree with me after you have tried it. It is another of my own made up recipes never posted before or anywhere else. For an interesting twist, sub sweet or spicy Italian sausage for the ground pork and top it all off with spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese. I have even added diced pepperoni with good results. Just plain and simple comfort food. Makes great sandwiches the next day or freeze the leftovers for another quick meal.

    Recipe #151571

Delicious served for dinner or breakfast. Hides a surprise inside.

    Recipe #19150

Use a firm eating apple for this recipe. Braeburn, Gala, Granny Smith and Haralson are all good choices. Soft or excessively juicy apples will add too much moisture.

    Recipe #25458

These keep nice in the crockpot on low and served as an appetizer.

    Recipe #32272

Serve this dip with an assortment of fresh vegetables or crisp crackers and toast.

    Recipe #175768

Prepare this dish the night before and just pop it into the oven when you wake up for a fast breakfast. The smell alone will wake the kiddies for school in the morning. Prep time is 30 minutes + overnight chill time.

    Recipe #15908

This spicy-sweet glaze is brushed on during baking to give the ham a golden brown appearance and to compliment the meat. The drippings are used to make a sauce to serve along side the ham slices. Use the glaze partway through cooking to prevent the sugars in the glaze from scorching.

    Recipe #150627

A less fatty version of fried spring rolls.

    Recipe #187504

Make sure your grill is hot before adding your steak. A hot grill quickly sears the outside of the meat, sealing the meat so it stays juicy and tender. Adding a packet of potatoes or vegetables while the steak cooks will save you time and work and supply you with a great side.

    Recipe #120918

This sauce can be made fresh while your meat is cooking on the grill. I especially like the sauce with my baby back ribs recipe. The sauce compliments the rub used on the ribs perfectly.

    Recipe #113902

Flavor packed sauce to make your taste buds tingle.

    Recipe #123312

This can be a great meatless meal or it will do nicely as a side dish to any meat. I recommend pearl barley (it is the most common varity) as it cooks up better in a crock pot without becoming gummy and sticky.
