Comments from originator of this low carb recipe: "I prefer to use the muffin top pan as you get actual circle pieces of "bread". These are great & freeze well, but keep in the fridge for many days. I also freeze the remaining buttermilk up in 1/4C size pkgs so that I'm not having to throw out the left over milk. Enjoy!!"

Found this and had to post to keep it safe! "Mrs. Applegate, a Baptist pastor's wife in Starkville, Mississippi, taught a university girls' Sunday School class for many years, about the late 50's and early 60's at least). Each year a spring Sunday School picnic was held. Mrs. Applegate had a special board made out of 2x12 lumber. It was several feet long and made to carry about 6 of these cakes lined up on this board and iced all together to make one long cake. The cake was carried in someone's station wagon to the picnic site. All the cake was always eaten and enjoyed by the students. Mrs. Applegate was known by the students for her delicious cooking and especially for her strawberry cake."

This is #3 of 3 gluten-free cream soups. As written, these recipes are free of Corn, Wheat, Gluten, Soy, Egg, Yeast and Nuts. NOTE FROM SOURCE: Recipe soups are those soups that one would normally find canned. If you have food allergies, the chances of finding a canned soup you can use in recipes is slim. Besides the usual allergens, you will generaly also find MSG in almost all canned soup, even many of the "health food store" type. MSG is not always listed in that way. MSG frequently hides in foods in the form of "hydrolyzed vegetable protein," "autolyzed yeast," "spices," "flavorings," and other non-specific ingredients. Here are some "semi-condensed" soups you can make from scratch and keep in the freezer for those times when you have a recipe that calls for a canned soup.
