    Thin steak portions are first marinated and then quickly cooked in a hot wok before being tossed with a tasty sauce and onions. Original version is for beef steaks but I have made this with kangaroo steak and the result was delicious. Don't be fooled by the long list of ingredients - this is an easy and quick dish.     Recipe found at There is a video there of Neil Perry making this dish. This was easy and tasty. Posting it here for safe keeping. I made it with hoki fillets but any mild white boneless fish pieces would be good. The stock is not essential - water is fine.

    Pasta and lentil salad topped with green beans and feta with a minty, balsamic dressing. Shell or spiral pasta can be substituted for the orecchiette. Tinned lentils are specified in the recipe but I have often cooked my own, just be careful not to overcook them, they should not be mushy.

    Found this and another version of this simple English dessert in Mum's recipes - storing here until testing it (but reckon it'll be fine) This one seems to have less cornflour and sugar than the others I have looked at on this site It uses lemon essence although I think boiling the milk with lemon rind would be nice as well. Have put 30 minutes cooking time to take into account some cooling period. Traditionally eaten cold so add time for the refrigerator.
