The following recipe is for Hermits, which are a type of spiced cookie bar. This recipe has been passed down in my family for generations. *Just like Chocolate Chip Cookies these should be removed from the oven before they are solid. They should have a LIGHT brow color. Otherwise they get as hard as rocks. If you do over bake them try zapping them in the microware for 15 seconds or so before eating.

    Recipe #443331

This recipe is an adaptation of two recipes which I combined. The first recipe is Wheat Loaf (Recipe # 58627). The second recipe is Chili Meatloaf from the Splenda Cookbook. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and she loves this "meatloaf". I'm not a vegetarian, but I like it too.

    Recipe #278388

This is my adaptation to a Indian Fried Bread recipe. I wanted something with a bit of a corn flavor. I've made these a few times and they have come out well. They take a bit of work to make, but are definetly worth it. After making the flat breads pop them in the broiler or toaster oven on an ungreased baking sheet for a couple of minutes with topping of your choice. Some topping suggestions are lentils, refried beans, cheese, vegetables, butter and sugar and cinnamon.

    Recipe #137171

This recipe is a family favorite. I got it from my grandmother. I personally like this apple crisp recipe better than those that contain oatmeal, it seems to be a little more "crisp". This same recipe also makes a great blueberry, raspberry, or strawberry crisp.
