My mother-in-law Debbie made these for my husband when he was growing up, and he loved them. She gave me her recipe, and now I make them for him and they are divine! Usually don't last more than 2 days in my house.
"You can get an undressed vegan French fry po' boy in The Quarters, but its only good if you lug a big jar of Vegenaise with you. To make good with this sandwich, try to find the lightest and airiest sub rolls you can, French bread is much heavier than the traditional loaf we use in NOLA, but it'll work in a pinch." - From the Papa Tofu cookbook.
This is my prized recipe from my late Grandmother Dee, who made this every Thanksgiving and Christmas for our family. I looked forward to this every year, and now that she is gone, I still have this wonderful recipe to remember her by every time I make it. Even better the next day. Warning: Not for people who don't like mayo, or for people who are on a diet.
My mother is the master at making this every Thanksgiving, and it is my favorite dessert that she makes. I like this days after its made, and I like to sneak some in a cup for a midnight snack...you can't have just one bite!
This is the best dressing I've ever had, other than ranch. Seriously love this dressing, first had it at Soul Vegetarian Restaurant, and wanted more salad!! Even my non-vegetarian-loving husband loves this stuff!
My Mother-in-law Debbie makes this for me every year for my birthday. It is my favorite cake that she makes, and of course, I love anything strawberry. To me this cake tastes better the more it sits, and is perfect with a glass of cold milk. Even though I'm not a boxed cake mix fan, there's always an exception, and this cake in my book is one of them.
