My grandma who hailed from New Orleans, Louisiana, loved to make this gumbo on special occasions. She would always have more crawfish then needed, just so she could cook them up and eat them, sucking the juice from each head. Sounds strange, but she would say that's how real cajuns do it.

"This is great for those brisk mornings...it warms you to your toes." --from Homemade Harvest by Gooseberry Patch.

    Recipe #488334

This is the best crisp I've ever had and it has become a Fall staple in my household and is THE BEST with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream on top! You can try raspberries, blueberries, blackberries or strawberries too...whatever's fresh and available to you. My favorite combination has always been 5 cups fresh raspberries mixed with 5 cups fresh chopped strawberries, sweet and slightly tart.

If you are thinking about making a tin of brownies, or baking a cake, or even going to the store and buying donuts, stop. Don't proceed. Instead make this amazing chocolate brownie in less than 2 minutes. Indulging in a treat like this is perfect for those of you (me included) on a diet, who are craving dessert but don't want to go overboard by baking a dozen cookies or so. A single serving is very satisfying, and I've included 6 different variations so you can adjust the toppings/mix-ins to your taste. I tried the mounds one tonight and it was AMAZING! I also used hersheys special dark cocoa powder instead of regular cocoa, and it came out extra rich and chocolatey. This is a dense, moist and rich mug brownie, perfect with a glass of milk or a scoop of ice cream, enjoy!!!

    Recipe #486659

This dish is low in both fat (4.5 grams per serving) and effort required (6 minutes of cooking), but it yields wonderful fresh flavor. A topping of chunky guacamole or just cubed avocado could raise these fajitas to an even higher level.

    Recipe #484165

You can easily make these from scratch in the time it takes to defrost a frozen veggie burger. The sweet-smoky-spicy ketchup in this recipe is a decidedly Southwestern flavor, and also pairs quite well with sweet potato fries. Other toppings, though, could take the patties in a totally different direction: Try a spicy brown mustard or pesto mayonnaise.
