A cholesterol-free cookie w/ virtually no saturated fat (the kind you want to stay away from if trying to manage cholesterol levels) & no margarine, butter or shortening! This recipe originally began as a very sweet vegan pie crust #171844. I thought w/ a few changes, it would be a good iced cookie. I love them! Hope you do too. These are definitely best when iced as the cookie isn't very sweet by itself.

Using TVP chunks you can find at any health food store, skim or non-dairy milk, no crisco / shortening, you can make a really healthy chicken pot pie. And it's definitely a quick meal from start to finish, including making the pie crusts. Hope you enjoy

    Recipe #475841

Better than lamb moussaka. We're not vegan but I love this recipe! By far the tastiest vegan meal I have ever eaten that typically uses meat and lots of dairy. I've pulled ideas from several vegan websites and regular recipes for moussaka to make this one. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. If you do the vegan version, be sure to allow at least 2 additional days to prep the fake "feta". The pic I've shown is using all the vegan options.

    Recipe #474688

This is my mom's recipe, one of the very few comfort foods I still insist on when we get together. I live in the south now and their version of Chix & dumplings is with noodles, blah! I double up the dumplings portion of this recipe, but that's because it's my favorite part and I could eat just them and be happy as a clam. I've tried making many other recipes, trying to cut out a couple of ingredients, but it is never as scrumptious. Make enough to have leftovers. Be gentle to the dumplings and they can survive another heating or 2. I've even frozen them before and some survived.

    Recipe #440430

My dh has high cholesterol and I'm trying to lose a bit of weight, so I modified several different recipes and added some ingredients to make it lower in fat, cholesterol, calories and sugar.
