This pretty layered dessert doesn't only look good, it's also delicious! The serving size depends on your parfait glass/dessert bowl size. This dessert looks best in individual tall narrow dishes.

    Recipe #317930

Not only do the strawberry and orange pieces make this baked oatmeal taste wonderful, but they also stud the pale oatmeal with a wonderful deep red. My main complaint with baked oatmeal is the excess amount of sugar added, making it taste more like dessert. This oatmeal is only slightly sweet, with the option of adding additional honey to drizzle on top. The individual serving size is quite small (which allows one to enjoy the oatmeal with toast, fruit and milk for a complete, healthy breakfast) but the individual aspect also makes it quite pretty. Created for RSC #11.

    Recipe #283045

Chocolate and berries go so well together. I you love that combo you will love these muffins. The double chocolate base is complemented with morsels of sweet strawberries. But it is the surprise in the centre is what really makes these chocolate muffins burstin' (with) berries. Created for RSC #11.

    Recipe #282982

This is a delicious not too sweet treat, excellent with a mid afternoon cup of coffee or tea or even for a special breakfast. The moist gingerbread oat base combined with the sweet glazed pineapple that has slight lemon tang is a perfect match. Although the grated apple does not provide much flavour, its addition results in a moist and delicious product. ----Recipe created by me for RSC #10!

    Recipe #243275

How do you make pancakes nice and fluffy but still really moist? Add mashed potatoes! The orange maple syrup combines the flavours of orange, apricot and maple, to create a sweet, flavourful thin sauce. Do not skip beating the egg whites, as this is what makes the pancakes fluffy.------ Recipe created by me for RSC #9!

    Recipe #211568

These muffins are a nice twist from plain bran muffins. Since they are garnished with either chopped apple or white chocolate chips they are quite visually pleasing. These muffins are not as sweet as some, which makes the bits of fruit stand out. Enjoy these muffins as is or with a little peanut butter, honey or jam. ------ Recipe created by me for RSC #9!

    Recipe #211554

Here's a very veggie different delicious lasagna. I really enjoy the sliced carrot in this recipe.

    Recipe #175669

This vegetarian cornbread is very moist from the creamed corn and nice and flavorful from the cheese and spice. If using non hydrogenated margarine, use a little less than 1/4 cup because of the higher moisture content.

    Recipe #170635

This mexican dessert is a not too sweet treat. The roll ups are a nice way to end a summer meal. For a treat, very lightly dust the roll ups with icing sugar. They are also perfect as a snack. By Mission Foods.

    Recipe #170626

These German cookies are sweet and nicely spiced with a satisfying crunch. We often make these during Christmas. Since I am not partial to walnuts I always omit them.

    Recipe #170590

This Australian fruit salad is a sweet treat! Note: Amounts of ingredients are approximate - feel free to tweak the amounts to your own liking.

    Recipe #170569

Heathy moist apple oatmeal muffins with a pretty garnish of sliced apple on top. Recipe from Apple & Pear Australia Ltd.

    Recipe #170357

Delicious plain pikelets with a cinnamon applesauce. The sauce is a bit different because of the slicing of the apples. One or two pikelets makes a very nice dessert with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream! If using non hydrogenated margarine for the pancakes and sauce, such as Becel, use a little less because of the higher moisture content. Recipe altered from Apple & Pear Australia Ltd.

    Recipe #170354

Pikelets are traditional grilled breads or pancakes from Australia. Here is a dessert version. Serve pikelets warm, topped with yogurt, jam and fresh seasonal fruit.

    Recipe #170351

This is a different kind of stew as the cinnamon is the promident smell as it is cooking, but blends in with the other spices and flavors creating a nicely flavored vegetable stew.

    Recipe #170033

Delicious spicy roasted veggies! The many spices are very visible in this dish. The chickpeas are a nice addition, and harden a bit after being roasted which is a nice addition to the overall texture of this dish.

    Recipe #170031

This delicious noodle salad is low in fat and so high in flavor. The noodles are cooked, as is the dressing. The cooked dressing coats the cabbage nicely adding color and lots of flavor. This recips is very easy to half for a family of 4. From "Company's Coming Low-Fat Cooking".

    Recipe #170029

This is almost the only way I eat salmon. Note: I find this dish spicier when baked than when grilled. I use a frozen wild whole salmon fillet cut into about 6 pieces; feel free to use fresh salmon or whatever cut you like. If using salmon steaks, I would brush the seasoning on both sides.

    Recipe #170018

These hot cross buns shaped as bunnies are very fun for the kids, and very easy to shape. My mom always makes these for us for breakfast on Easter morning. She used to ice our initial with icing on the stomach of the bunny. The glaze in this recipe is optional - we never bother. NOTE: rising time is not included in prep/cooking time. **I have changed the # of bunnies - after making them this year I realized they made a lot more then I remembered!

    Recipe #163486

Cute little easter eggs with a hint of chocolate and peanut butter that kids (and adults) love. These eggs are so easy, since they are basically Rice Krispie Cake. These eggs can be individually wraped so they can be hidden with commercial wrapped chocolate easter eggs if you are doing an egg hunt for your kids.
