I just found this recipe in an old band bosters cookbook and placing it here for sharing and later use. The recipe mentions that it is a good substitute for graham cracker crust. It sounds good to me and might be a good alternative for cream pies or maybe even dutch apple or cherry.
This is a light buttery cookie that I enjoy. I belive the recipe originated from the book "Favorite Homemade Cookies and Candies." They can be a little messy when forming into balls, but I think they're worth it.
This recipe from Giada De Laurentiis's show Everyday Italian the "Pasta Potluck" episode. The only change from her recipe is that I cut it in half to make an 8x8 square dish and I re-titled it to reflect its not quite ordinary characteristics. I just love it and it is so easy. I hope you enjoy it too.
I aquired this recipe from a co-worker at a pot luck about a year ago. This is a bit different from your average chili and offers just the right amount of spice and great flavors. It can easily be made fully vegetarian by substituting for the chicken broth. Enjoy!
Suggestion: If you want a thicker more 'chili-like' consistency try mashing a half a cup or more of the rinsed black beans then add with the rest of the beans.
This cake is not only melt in your mouth good, but it is also very quick and easy to make. Rich creamy flavor with little effort... my kind of cake. I found this recipe in the Jan/Feb 2005 issue of Home Cooking Magazine submitted by Evelyn M. Lett and had to try it and I am so glad I did. It was great and I hope all of you enjoy it as well.
