"The marinade in this dish is what gives the chicken such a smooth flavor. Although it is ideal if the meat can soak in the marinade for at least 1 hour before cooking to absorb the intricate flavors of the marinade, if you don't have time, don't be discouraged, because the chicken will still be flavorful. If you are really planning ahead, you can soak the meat in the marinade for up to two days. Serve this dish with a side of Spanish Rice and Jicama and Carrot Salad. The flavors together are very complementary." (Description and recipe courtesy of American Heart Association --

    Recipe #144723

A delicious pasta salad using bow-tie pasta. It is great as a side dish or as a light lunch. As with any pasta dish, the longer you allow it to marinate in the refrigerator the better the flavor will be. The recipe doesn't call for salad to marinate in the refrigerator but I recommend it. Recipe #143713

Veal or chicken sauteed in butter accompanied by fresh green beans, tomates and rosemary. I use chicken for this dish and cut it into bite size pieces. Also, quality vine ripened tomatoes are best or consider using diced canned tomatoes. Hot-house tomatoes tend to taste bitter when cooked. We also use a bit more rosemary and grated, not shaved, parmasan. Serve over penne pasta tossed with a bit of garlic powder, pinch of parmasan cheese and olive oil. (Recipe courtesy of Olive

    Recipe #143704

"This traditional pasta and white bean soup is an Italian classic. Be sure to cook the pasta until just al dente. Keeping it a bit chewy or "toothsome" insures it maintains a low glycemic index (description courtsey of Dr. Weil's Optimal Eating Plan)." This is from the wonderful recipe collection of Dr. Weil. I highly recommend all of this dishes but especially this classic!
