People who aren't keen on Brussels sprouts will become converts, and those who love them will be over the moon ... so much nicer than just boiling them! This is a forgiving recipe: if you don't have whipping cream, use Carnation evaporated milk or Half n Half. If you've already got dried bread crumbs that need using up, substitute those for making the fresh ones. It will still taste great!

    Recipe #508503

I found this recipe in the travel feature of the Jan. 28, 2013 edition of Woman's World magazine. The recipe comes from the Beau Rive Hotel in Roseau, Dominica. I didn't have glace cherries, so substituted with maraschino cherries. It makes a delicious, moist and flavorful loaf. If you like banana loaf, try this one, you will not be disappointed.

    Recipe #498992

This is the recipe that used to be on the side of the Lipton Onion Soup Mix box. I haven't seen it on the box for a while now, so decided to post it here so I'll always be able to find the recipe. It's easy and has great flavour.

    Recipe #431298

This mix comes closest to my favourite store-bought pumpkin pie spice. Because I like to use it so often, I buy the individual spices in the bulk food section, then mix up a jar of it. Its less expensive than purchasing the little tins of name-brand spice mix, and you can stir up as little as or as much as you like at one time.

    Recipe #394438

This the best beef stew recipe I have ever found. It uses simple, everyday ingredients, but has wonderful flavour. I have modified it slightly from the Purity Cookbook version by including a bay leaf, the peas, and increasing the worcestershire to 1 tsp. from 1/2 tsp. in the original recipe. Excellent either way.
