    Recipe #418148

It's a the end of the week and time to clear out the fridge.....and so this simple yet tasty recipe was born.

    Recipe #417216

    Recipe #413728

Here's a nice alternative to Eggs Benedict for that special breakfast! This recipe came from a little booklet picked up at the grocery checkout stand.

    Recipe #413726

Always looking to remake a meat dish into a veggie one that is still desirable. One of my students just loved to fill ready-made taco shells with just about anything that made a quick meal. This is one I came up with for him. The time for this recipe does not include prep and cooking of potatoes.

    Recipe #413133

When I was a young girl I got to visit my relatives in Lancaster, Pa. on several summer vacations. My uncle was a "gentleman farmer". On the land lived a family that grew the crops. The wife use to cook for the family and that is how I first tasted these rich balls of dough. I never though about the recipe because that was the only place I had them. Recently I had a long phone conversation with my cuz and this recipe came up. She sent it to me and now I will share it with you. FAIR WARNING: I have not made this as I don't fry, and I'm just guessing on the amount It is rare for me to post something I did not make first, but my childhood memories tell me.....THEY ARE GREAT!

    Recipe #412763

Was surprised when I saw so many recipes for tomato soup calling for peeled tomatoes....but no instructions as how to peel them! If you try to peel a fresh tomato, you know it's a mess, that's why so many folks use canned tomatoes! Well, for the uninformed, here's how..............and a good-bye to canned! NOTE: for ease of printing this I am using 20 tomatoes as the guideline.

    Recipe #406973

So just another chicken soup recipe? Well sure, the ingredients are nothing new, but what makes this soup different is how it is prepared. No artificial enhanced boullion junk or canned ANYTHING! This way truly cleanses the chicken first and leaves only the cleanest soup that can be made in your home kitchen. NOTE** The nutritional values do not reflect how much fat is lost in this method, but it is there.

    Recipe #406764

I try to eat wild salmon three to four times aweek. I do this for health reasons more than for my love of salmon....although I like it in most recipes. Because of pricing, I find myself using canned salmon more and more. Was ready for some lunch the other day but sort of hated the idea of salmon again, then this idea was born..........

    Recipe #384593

Got this recipe from a friend last X-mas. We were talking about leftovers and I told her I bought several refrigerated piecrust in a box cause they were on sale. Now had a bunch in the freezer to use up and this was her suggestion. Sooooo simple!

    Recipe #384513

Like so many of you, I have grandchildren, each with their own fussy palate. I am always trying to come up with recipes that all will eat at the same time. I am sure that this is not diet food nor the healthest meal I've ever made but this concoction was enjoyed even by the adults!. I made a lot but the recipe can be cut down as you need. And....since everything is cooked prior to going into the casserole, you can make this up to two days before, hold in fridge, and heat it up when you are ready!

    Recipe #380566

Saw a recipe like this on internet, but there were ingredients I didn't like, so came up with changes enough to call my own.

    Recipe #369630

I bought a box mix of tabouli. Made it as stated, tasted hot, then cold.....but just did not care for it. I hate to waste food, especially in this economic crisis, so came up with this delightful dish. I served it hot as a side to recipe#169239, recipe#266753, along with recipe#160788. I made it with white rice that I was going to use the next day for fried rice, but next time I will try brown rice. Had some cold the next day for lunch, really was pleased that I had turned something that I did not like into something I would make again! Prep time does not include preparing the rice and tabouli. Don't be scared off be the carbs in this, they are the good kind!

    Recipe #367665

Had more vegetables left over this week than I this recipe was born. I made it vegetarian by choice but I believe that chicken or a strong-flavored fish would enhance this stew. If I was doing it that way, I would add already cooked, at the end of cooking the stew.I served my stew with toasted pita halves stuffed with chopped tomatoes, sliced black olives and diced hard cooked eggs. I mixed the stuffing with a little bit of french dressing and black pepper. Along with a glass of ice tea, it turned out to be a great meal!

    Recipe #361050

I'm a dump cake fan due to the quickness of the recipes, but lots of them are too sweet for my taste. Put this one together and like Goldy Locks said, " This is just right!".

    Recipe #356925

Here's a senior moment that turned out great! Planned to make spaghetti and meatballs for my students. This was a quick meal for me as I already had homemade meatballs and sauce in the freezer. So I just grabbed them along with some frozen recipe#166346. Threw it all into the crockpot in am. That evening as I tasted sauce and meatball for seasonings,to my horror, I found that the meatballs were roasted brussel sprouts! After my first shock, I tasted again. It was really good! Served as I would have if it was meat, with all the spaghetti dinner fixings. We ALL gave it a "Thumbs Up!". So here it is.......I made a large amt. so judge what you need for yourself.

    Recipe #354100

Was going to make a Hoppin' John soup but the pantry was empty of black-eyed peas so made this instead. I was pleased with the results but my "boys" (students) thought it lacked spice and added hot sauce.

    Recipe #349056

This is an easy one-pot or slow cooker meal. Just had a variety of vegetables that were calling me to use them......this was the results. This recipe is a guideline for vegetables that compliment each can really do your own thing! Make it completely vegetarian by leaving out the meat.
