Comfort food at it's finest! You can sub out veggies for your favorites, this is just a starting point. We like to use chicken breasts in place of the italian turkey sausage, too. This is a great recipe to take to a pot luck, or freeze half for later. Makes lots and lots!

    Recipe #158975

I was introduced to this by a friend of my mom's. She was married to an Iranian man, and he always made the most fragrant, fabulous rice. This is a little bit of work, compared to regular white rice, but it is so worth it. Not hard at all. Great with your favorite stir fry. The best part is the browned, crunchy tadiq, the bottom crust of the rice. For a great presentation, turn it out on a platter, and watch the family fight for the tadiq! Don't try to avoid fat and calories by using margarine, it isn't the same at all.

    Recipe #124898

This is a great "Adult Beverage". I hate the taste of alcohol, but sometimes I like a little something in the summer. This is fun to make for a BBQ, the flavors compliment grilled foods very nicely. And, frankly, after a few of these you won't need the food!

    Recipe #124894

This is so yummy when served with toasted french bread slices or pita bread. It's so easy to make, but tastes so good. My husband is picky, but he really liked this. Make sure to let it sit in fridge for an hour or so before serving.

    Recipe #108110

I love anything that's easy to cook, and this qualifies! Talk about comfort food! This keeps very well, so make a double batch to freeze. Great in a bread bowl, too.
