    Apfelschorle is a simple, refreshing beverage made of equal parts apple juice and carbonated mineral water. Delicious and thirst-quenching! For variation you can mix equal parts Apfelschorle with white wine for a "Weinschorle", with beer for a "Apfel Berliner Weisse", or mix the apple juice with sparkling lemonade for a "Susser Schorle". Garnish with a slice of fresh lemon. Very popular in Germany and Europe.

    Berlin's traditional wheat beer is drunk with a schuss, or shot, of either green waldmeister syrup (germandeli.com) or red-raspberry syrup in it. Most pleasant.     This is such a delicious simple, refreshing and thirst quenching summertime (or anytime) beverage! Requires only three ingredients: apricot nectar, sparkling lemonade (such as 7-up), and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Add ice if you like. I sometimes add a splash of white rum or vodka to mine.
