This came from the November Good Housekeeping magazine. The picture looked absolutely delicious. I am posting for safe keeping. You can prepare and arrange the sweet potatoes and syrup separtely up to 1 day ahead. Refridgerate separately. Allow both to come to room temperature before baking. Select sweet potatoes the same size so they cook evenly.

A co-worker brought this in and it is delicious. It taste like apple sauce only better. Her sister made it. She uses the extra large zucchini. She said Splenda works well instead of sugar and it also freezes great. I am guessing on the servings and the time. She also peeled her zucchini

    Recipe #346018

My cake decorating instructer brought these in for our Christmas Pary. They look like frosted strawberries. She said she had the recipe for years. You could make them in orange, lemon or any fruit flaver or shape. she added green royal icing leaves to the top of the strawberries. ( I couldn't post the green icing leaves in the ingredients, it wasn't the proper terminology). They were very good and looked so cute on her platter.

    Recipe #212372

This is Paula Deen's recipe. I have not had a chance to make this but it does sound wonderful. I thought I would post it. I hope to try this soon. I am going to estimate the servings. She didn't say but I guess 8. I am including the 2 hrs cooling time as cooking time.

    Recipe #209615

This was passed down from generation to generation. I don't have a recipe for this soup, but I will try to esitmate the portions. It is a sour soup but it is delicious. People either love it or not. My neice never liked it and now she loves it, can't wait till Christmas Eve. My grandmother used to use mushrooms my grandfather and dad would pick up in the woods. I believe they called them sheephead. My grandmother would then clean them and hang them to dry. We can't find the mushrooms for sale and are afraid to go and look for them in the woods. We don't know the good from the bad.

    Recipe #196554

These cookies look so lovely on my cookie tray. For Christmas I use the green and red M&M Peanut candy and for Easter I use the pastel M&M peanut candy. You can use any color for that matter.

    Recipe #187183

This is another old recipe I had from Family Circle Magazine, February 1982. This is a delicious cake with a wonderful burnt sugar flavor. The color of the cake is a beautiful deep golden color. The frosting recipe follows the cake recipe.

    Recipe #158636

This cake was on the cover of Cuisine Magazine in March 1983. It takes some effort to make but it is well worth it. I only make this for extra special occasions. It also helps if you have two mixers or one hand held mixer. It is absolutely sinful.
