Here is a recipe for a yummy butter coffee cake that uses sour cream and lots of cinnamon sugar. Don't be shy with the cinnamon, although some people prefer using 1/2 the amount. It is a matter of personal taste. I got this recipe from allrecipes.com and just made it this morning. I wanted to share it here on 'zaar.

This is a recipe for apple pie that I got from allrecipes.com and it is THE BEST apple pie I have ever had. It is different that ordinary apple pie, the fresh apples are placed in the crust, covered in a lattice top and smothered in a decadent sauce. Whoever Grandma Ople is, I would really like to thank her for she sure knows how to make a mean apple pie!For my crust, I use a recipe for pie crust that includes vinegar and is found on this site.

I stumbled across this recipe and just HAD to make it for my feathered friends. My birds, 2 cockatiels, a cockatoo and a lovebird, go wild for this stuff. Those guys eat better than the human members of my family..lol. I love them dearly and really enjoy cooking up things to please them. Only the lovebird does not seem to care for this recipe, choosing a different birdy bread recipe for himself (the little gourmet) This is made in a microwave and takes about 30 seconds to make. Serve only as a treat!!***This recipe calls for 1/4 cup Rainbow Exact Pellets (available at pet store) but I was unable to list them as they are not exactly a "common" ingredient.

    Recipe #122049

I have been posting all kinds of strawberry recipes lately and I have to say that this is one of my favorites because I love, Love, LOVE icecream. As I've mentioned before my fridge looks like a Baskin Robbins display...lol. This recipe is so creamy and cool and refreshing. Cook time is chill time.

    Recipe #121981

Such a light, summer recipe. The coconut and strawberry make it very tropical and scrumptious. It is a light dessert that will have people clearing their plates and coming back for more. Very easy to make and most of the cook time is chill time. Fresh strawberries make all the difference in the world!

    Recipe #121979

This is such a pretty recipe. I just love parfaits and I adore this light and fluffy mousse one. Butter cookies are among my fave and I love the fact that they are used in this recipe. Easy recipe with little prep needed.

    Recipe #121977

Very easy recipe. Strawberries coated in a tasty, sweet turbinado suage coating. This is great served with the goat cheese fondue, but I actually prefer the berries alone. Experiment and see how you like your berries best! Cook and prep are estimates.

    Recipe #121973

This is a really different recipe, but a very good one. A combo of seafood and fruit, who'd have thought the two would pair so well.Cook and prep are estimates. The list of ingredients look long but some are repetitions and most are common ingredients you probably have on hand.

    Recipe #121971

What could be better than loads of fresh, succulent strawberries atop a heavenly chocolate cake, surrounded by clouds of whipped cream. This recipe is sooo good. Great when strawberry season rolls around.

    Recipe #121952

Recipe for a strawberry pizza made with strawberries, cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk, topped with sliced pineapple and drizzled in chocolate. I would take this delight over pepperoni pizza any day!The original recipe did not call for the pineapple or chocolate, and it is equally good with or without. Other fresh fruit can be added if you wish.

    Recipe #121943

This hot chocolate recipe is unlike any other. It is haunted. But do not be afraid. The little ghost in your cup only wants to share in the chocolately goodness, and he can be eaten too..hehe. This is a great recipe for Halloween. One of my favorites, just because it is so cute!

    Recipe #121880

What is more pleasing than a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter day? Homemade hot chocolate with many variations..that's what. This recipe is so smooth and decadent, sure to melt the frost off your windows!

Here is a really different recipe I stumbled across for brown bread ice cream. Just the name made me want to try it, and I was glad I did. Really great to cool off with and enjoy!

Here is a simple, but totally decadent recipe for butter pecan ice cream that is made in the ice cream maker. So easy to make with fabulous results. Much better than store bought. Great for a hot summer day...or any time of the year for that matter. Cook time includes freeze time that varies from machine to machine. Whole pecan nuts can be used instead of the chopped!

    Recipe #121648

Here is a recipe for Tazukuri, which are spicy glazed sardines. This recipe may seem unappelaing to many, but thoe who have actually tried Tazukuri love the spicy, slightly sweet taste. Very easy and quick to make.

Until the mid-19th century in Japan, religion generally prohibited the eating of meat. Tofu is called "meat from the fields" because it is made from soybeans and is high in protein. For centuries, tofu has been a very important food in Japan, not only because of religion but also for health reasons. Agedashi dofu is deep fried tofu with a soysauce based sauce. Really yummy and few ingredients.

    Recipe #120799

Date-maki is a sweet rolled omelette and is one of the foods that is served on Japanese New Year. It is easy to prepare by using egg and ground fish meat. The soft fish cake is known as hanpen.

    Recipe #120797

A pan of white thick noodles and soup served with fish cakes and chicken and vegetables. Deep fried prawn can also be used in place of the fish cakes for a tasty variation.

    Recipe #120607

Cruller...A fried cake, sister to the doughnut, which takes its name from the Dutch word krulle, meaning "twisted cake." Crullers are made by rolling out dough, cutting it into strips, doubling the strips, twisting them, and pinching the ends together. They are then fried in deep fat and brushed with sugar. French crullers are made in a round shape with cream-puff batter, and fried in deep fat. They often have a thin icing. This is a recipe I got from recipegoldmine.com. I have also posted a different variation on this recipe called French Cruller 2.
