I only made a little change. Insted of using 2 packages of dry yeast I only used 1, thought that would be too much for the amount of flour used.

The reduced fat cheese gives all the taste at a fraction of the Points value. Try extra mature cheese or blue cheese for a change.
I got this recipe from a flour packet sold here in UK (brand name "Hovis"), I haven't made it yet but intend to.I had to add some step as it was missing from the original.

I used to make this cake all the time while I was living in Brazil, as corn on the cob is very easy to find and inexpensive. That doesn't happen here in England. The corn you find in supermakets are tasteless and not full of juice as I am used to. So I tried the recipe using canned corn and sometime frozen, but I don't think I have achieved the same result, it is not as tastefull.
I found this recipe on Nestle's website about 3 years ago. I have made it numerous time. It requires a bit of work but the results are well worth it. The time for preparing and cooking is a guess, I have never timed it.
I have been using this recipe for many years and is the best I came across so far. Very easy to make, very moist and taste fantastic. Cornemeal cake is very common in Brazil , where I come from and goes very nice with a cup of fresh brewed coffee or even a nice cup of tea.
My mummy use to make this recipe when I was a kid, and to this day I find it just delicious. It is very easy and satisfying. Enjoy it with a fresh salad or just on its own. very good for a picnic. You can use any filling you and your family like, as long it is not to moist as it would make the dough to heavy.
