I don't like the instant packaged oatmeal, so found this quick way to have a nutritious breakfast on my way out the door. You could vary the additions by what you have on hand. I have used fresh fruit, applesauce, peanut butter, and even coconut.

    Recipe #497798

This is an old recipe passed down through my husband's family. Enjoy!

    Recipe #389401

Our cruise waiter gave us the recipe for this "OH-SO-LUCIOUS" dessert that was a favorite at everyone at our table. The measurements sound a little strange but all the women worked on converting it from the oz measurements to cups, etc. Now you don't have to wait for your next cruise to have some.

    Recipe #389107

I got this recipe from a neighbor over thirty years ago, and I've used it often to take to parties and get-togethers. The only problem is keeping others from eating them before I can get them into the car.

    Recipe #341424

Bella's was a restaurant in our town, and we loved to eat their Italian Beef subs. They had to close due to Bella's health, but after a lot of begging, she gave us the recipe. This smells so good while it is cooking. It can be served over pasta (first thicken sauce with a bit of cornstarch), open-face over toast, on a sub bun, or on a big pile of garlic mashed potatoes...

    Recipe #265567

Women often ask me for my chicken soup recipe. I actually got it from my doctor's mama. If you have a sore throat, aches, fever, feel yucky all over, make this soup and have bowls. It will make you feel better. Even good for days when you have the blahs...ahhh..comfort food at it's best, just like Mama's!

    Recipe #256307

My husband asked me to post this. I grew up eating these, and was shocked to find out so many people had never had one. They are delicious. So try it!

    Recipe #255967

This is my husband's favorite dish on the weekends, when we usually eat breakfast late. It is also my son-in-law's most requested dish when they come down for the weekend. It's easy to mix and match whatever of the ingredients you happen to like to suit your tastes. Light, fluffy, and flavorful. The sour cream will produce a very light fluffy egg, so don't leave it out!

    Recipe #255068

I found this recipe in a Jewish cookbook many years ago, and it has become a favorite of my family. It sounds complicated but is actually very easy and the blintzes can be frozen and used later.

    Recipe #251593

When my Granny died, I missed her and her chicken and dumplings, because NO one made them like Granny. I tried several recipes but they were either very complicated or not very good. Then I found this one and even my Yankee husband who doesn't like dumplings tried to hide the leftovers to take to work the next day. We LOVE this recipe. They are actually better than Granny's. Even Mama agrees. (Sorry, Granny!)

    Recipe #220875

We make this often. The smell in the house is scrumptious. There is never anything left because my family keeps going back and back and back for more. Easy to make, too.

    Recipe #218644

My husband and son were big Manwich fans, until I got this recipe from a friend. These smell fantastic and taste even better. Quick to make, easy to clean up.

    Recipe #217597

My friend shared this recipe with me, and I was so reluctant because I don't even like Doritos, but she insisted I try it, and my whole family LOVED it. It is moist and has such a great flavor and even smells yummy cooking! Now I make it often. I pound the breast to flatten them and make them cook faster.

    Recipe #215648

I got this out of a Campbells Soup Cookbook many many years ago, and have adapted it a bit to make it even yummier. Easy to make, Inexpensive, and Comforting! One of my husband's favorites. I make this at least once a week for the last thirty years. Serve with some homemade mashed potatoes.

    Recipe #198514

I saw this recipe on an Epicurious show on the Travel Channel. If you have a Kitchenaid mixer, you can make great use of it with this recipe. The coffee adds to the flavor without being overpowering. Yum. Just right.

    Recipe #198510

My son kept saying the potatoes at school tasted weird. My daughter informed him, "They are fake potatoes, not real, like Mama's". So here's the real thing, very much worth the effort. (Hint, if you warm the milk slightly in a separate saucepan, the potatoes will stay hot longer until serving. Grandma says if they taste bland, they need more salt!)

    Recipe #198081

I saw this in a magazine at the doctor's office and jotted it down. The picture looked amazing and I got hungry just looking at it.

    Recipe #198068

I got this out of a kitchenaid mixer cookbook. My kids have one thing to say about it...YUMM-MY!

    Recipe #198064

I got this from my friend, Dorothy. She's a mother, grandmother, and a fabulous cook. If you don't have red bell peppers, you can use two green, but it's sure pretty with the red included, too.

    Recipe #198062

This casserole was brought to me after a new baby many years ago by a lady at our church. When I asked for the recipe, I couldn't believe how simple it was. We use this for a quick dinner anytime or to use up leftover turkey after Thanksgiving. Can also be made with chicken.
