Kenyans enjoy snacking on bananas covered with roasted peanuts, a treat they call crunchy n'dizi. They are best when eaten hot, right from the oven. In the recipe below I've called the n'dizi crunchy banana as it's the only way I could get the data base to recognize it as the heading for that portion of this recipe. This recipe was found on CookEatShare and has been posted for ZWT 7

    Recipe #456046

From Chatelaine Food Express Quickies. I was surprised when I couldn't find this recipe in the data base. It's so quick and simple to make.

An absolutely spectacular dessert! Recipe found in an old cookbook called More Fun and Flavour With Spices. You can use the crepe recipe I'm including or use your own favourite recipe. The crepes can be made ahead of time and frozen. Simply reheat them in a slow oven (I would wrap them in foil to prevent hardening). The cooking time does not include the 1 hour stand time for the crepe batter.

    Recipe #455975

I found this recipe on the Reader's Digest web site and I'm posting it for ZWT 7. This immune-boosting antioxidant cocktail supplies all your vitamin A for the day and more than half your requirement for vitamin C. If you don’t have a blender or food processor, you can still whip up this beverage with a wire whisk in a deep bowl.

    Recipe #455971

With only 3 ingredients this is just about the simplest and most refreshing appetizer you can serve. One tbsp of nutmeg sounds like a lot but don't be afraid to try it. The flavour works very well with the pineapple. This recipe comes from More Fun and Flavour with Spices

    Recipe #455944

I found this recipe on cbc.ca. I'm posting it for ZWT 7 and hope to try it soon. In response to a review, I've changed the ingredients list to say zest of lemon, lime and orange rather than rind since the reviewer is quite correct in saying that the white part of the rind is bitter.

Grilled Provolone Cheese From LCBO Food & Drink Magazine Provoleta is a traditional Argentinian cheese. It has a texture that allows it to be barbecued. Using provolone gives the same taste but cannot be used on the barbecue and must be cooked in a nonstick pan instead. The weight of the cheese in the ingredients is an estimate. Try to get two 1/4" thick rounds of the cheese.
