This is one of my favorite dishes at a well known KC restaurant. It's taken me quite a while to perfect this but I think this is very close.

My son came home from Omaha with this recipe and his Dad has been hooked ever since. Extremely easy and addictive! Great for breakfast and works for appetizers as well. Feel free to use your choice of chilies and sausage.

After watching Ina make these to serve with her chicken salad this weekend I knew I would have to make these soon. I cannot wait to try!

Growing up in Kearney, Missouri in the '60s & '70s the only place in town that had a true soda fountain was Matthew's Drug Store. On very special occasions we were allowed to order a Homemade. Gently warm the toppings for the best results.

I love watching America's Test Kitchen and when I saw this recipe being made I knew I would have to post this right away. Garlic, butter, cheese and bread...what's not to love?

I watched Alton Brown make these on FoodTV the other day and thought they looked good. Posting here for easier recovery of the recipe for future use.

I could not find a recipe that had the ingredients that I either had on hand or that my group liked. So I took several recipes and combined to come up with this one. This was a nod (with mouthful) can post and make again. I served this with a tossed salad with fresh avocado slices. If you prefer more heat, feel free to adjust spices to your preference.

My grandma made the most wonderful custard pie. When I got to stay the night or weekend with her, she would always have this for me. Of course I could never ever make this like I remembered until I finally asked her for the recipe. One thing I cannot replicate is the use of fresh whole milk, but have come up with a pretty close substitution. THIS is comfort food at its' finest.

I am on a mission to find the PERFECT Steak Soup. A rich brown broth and tons of flavor. Let's see if this one will make the cut. Original recipe from Cook's Illustrated and adjusted availability and our tastes. It's pretty darn close but still is not quite what I'm wanting. But it is good enough to make again.

Yet another copycat recipe claiming it's from the Plaza III Steak House in Kansas City. I will find this recipe!

Recipe courtesy of Pillsbury.com December 2007. I plan on making these tonight to serve with my soup. These can be served as an appetizer with either a bowl of either spaghetti or pizza sauce for dipping.

Holiday dinners at Grandma & Grandpa's house almost always included this punch. Sometimes she would make an ice ring out of pineapple juice or sometimes punch itself. Everything Grandma made, she made with love for all of us.

I came up with this today after being iced in. We thought it was really good. I served on top of a hot buttermilk biscuits. Perfect for a cold winters day. I did reheat the leftovers in oven-proof dish and placed biscuits on top of stew in the last 20 minutes.

This is a highly coveted recipe from my Grandma. I remember her making these every Christmas. Sometimes dipped in chocolate, sometimes topped with a pecan half, but always made with love for her family and a talent for making the creamiest caramels I ever had. She would also use these to make her famous Pecan Turtles.

I clipped this out of a local newsletter some time ago as I thought it sounded good. I could see serving this with warm ginger cookies. Yum!

    Recipe #267383

My family has made these since I can remember. Growing up we (the kids) hated these cookies, after growing up we love them! They are very colorful and can be frozen with good results.

My husband watched the local PBS Auction and they were on a cooking segment that had cookbooks for sale. There was one author making his famous Cowboy Cookies and Larry wrote down the ingredients and told me we had to make these. We did and they have been a family favorite for many years now. There are many variations of this recipe but we like this one the best (no nuts in ours). I hope you enjoy these as much as we do! You will need a heavy duty mixer for these and even then you may need to do the final mixing by hand.

    Recipe #266582

My sister Terry has made this for years, recipe is courtesy Rival Crock Pot Cooking. Many variations abound - but we like this one.

I am so doing the happy dance today! I found my Grandma's original recipe card for these teething cookies. All natural ingredients and so much better for the little ones than the store bought kind.

I watched Wolfgang Puck make this on the Live with Regis & Kelly show and knew right away I would have to make this. Updated 1/09 - I have made this and have to agree with the reviews. This is not that good. The texture is NOT like a typical cheesecake, but rather like an under baked flan or custard. IF you can get past the texture issues, you might enjoy it-otherwise please pass this one on by.
