    This is a hearty, slow cooked, thick soup that sticks to your ribs and warms your soul. It is my friend's mother's recipe. It is outrageously delicious. The recipe calls for russet potatoes, but I use Yukon Golds. This makes so much and I find the Yukon Golds freeze much better than russets. It does have a long cooking time, so I like to put it on on Sunday mornings and let it cook all day while we watch football. Please don't leave out the caraway seeds. It makes it so special!

    It does NOT get better than this. This is SUPER rich and cheesy. Not for the faint of heart! Dinosaur BBQ's mac and cheese has been featured on tv and in magazine's as the best mac and cheese in the country. I think they are right.

    I know....you hate fruitcake. So do I. In 40 years I never tasted a fruitcake that I didn't spit out. Homemade, store bought....GROSS! A friend of mine from an online community shared this recipe with me and swore it wasn't the fruitcake I was used to. I decided to give it a try and it was so delicious that we only gave away 1 of the 4 loaves and kept the rest for ourselves! I make it way ahead of time and keep brushing it with brandy for a few months and rewrapping it and storing it in the fridge. Please try it.....it is delicious.

    My favorite dip recipe to serve at parties. The best part is eating the bread shell when the dip is gone. HEAVEN! I always use a round loaf of Hawaiian bread.....so declicious!!!! Please use full fat mayo.....reduced fat and fat free doesn't work out well.

    The best vegetable beef soup I have ever had. I have been making this for over 20 years and it is that perfect soup to warm your soul. It is very hearty and filling, but very low in fat and good for you. It cooks all day in the crockpot, so you have very little work to do. Enjoy it as much as I do! I prefer to use fresh green beans in the soup, but if you want to use frozen that is fine. I have one friend who throws in an 10 oz pks of frozen mixed veggie, but I like the fresh veggies better. Cooking time reflects how long it needs to be in the crockpot.

I have made them in miniature for parties as a hot appetizer, as well. I clipped this from a magazine years ago and have made it countless times since.     This is my favorite pasta salad. I love bringing it to cookouts and potlucks, because it isn't the same old salad and everyone loves it and it disappears. Try it with regular pasta, as well! If I don't have white vinegar, I use cider vinegar and it is fine. The original recipe used white wine vinegar, but I rarely have that in the house, so I changed the recipe to suit my pantry. If you have white wine vinegar, feel free to try it with that. I hope you love it as much as I do and bring it to your summer celebrations!

    This is my yearly cookie exchange recipe. They are easy, delicious and best of all I can fit 4 mini muffin tins in my oven at ones, so I can knock out 4 dozen at one baking. I love these with the special dark kisses, but you can use the milk chocolate ones, or even the hugs that Hershey makes. My kids love to help with these and they can even participate at a young age, they are that simple to make!
