I know you're thinking "brussels sprouts are gross." That's what I thought until I tried this recipe. I took one of those fancy cooking courses, and this is one of the only recipes I remember -- it's easy, unusual, and delicious!

    Recipe #114037

This stew is very flavorful -- I get compliments every time I serve it. Whenever I make a pot, I always put at least one serving in the freezer to enjoy on a cold winter evening. The recipe was adapted from Maryana Vollstedt's "The Big Book of Soups & Stews." You can also use beef or veal in this recipe, but I prefer lamb because it is more flavorful.

    Recipe #113575

This recipe, which was adapted from Linda Fraser's collection of vegetarian recipes, is easy to make and freezes well. During the winter I eat it almost once a week.

    Recipe #113182

An old family friend -- who is a fabulous cook -- just threw this together one evening, and I've been feasting on it ever since! It's very healthy and easy to make.

    Recipe #112874

My mom used to make this when I was a kid; now it is one of our mid-week standards. It is fast, and very easy to make. Serve with rice or some other grain and a steamed vegetable for a quick meal. (If you don't have Newman's Own, use any balsamic or italian salad dressing.)
