A lovely breakfast of fresh apple and oats. Such tasty and healthy way to meet the day. The amount will easily double.

    Recipe #204842

The addition of maple syrup makes these pleasently different. This dish was always popular when I catered holiday dinners. I put a small amount of syrup here but you may certainly add more if you like. I have also cut it down as I doubt that very many folks will be having 100 at their table *wink*. Prep time is actually the mixing time after the potatoes have been baked. Also this can be made the day before and gently reheated (covered) before serving. **EDIT** After several reviewers commenting that the maple flavor is faint I have upped the maple syrup content on Jan 18 "07, please feel free to add more after tasting it if you would like to.

Yumm, chicken and cashews for dinner. 30 mins or less start to finish.

    Recipe #227151

Very nice muffins with a high health factor. I haven't had these stick around long enough to worry about freezing any. For their portraits I dressed them up with walnut halves on top. Pretty much any firm fruit (raisins, cranberries, cherries, dried apricots, etc) or chopped nuts can be added as desired.

Or Burgers For The Tourist. If you enjoy Mexican flavors you're going to love this.

    Recipe #234373

Do something different with a pack of tortellini. This filling soup is full of fibre, low fat and full of veg. The perfect lunch or supper

    Recipe #468147

My Dr was recently extolling the virtues of rye bread for the diabetic. More fiber and the lowest glycemic index of any bread. This recipe makes a small 1 lb loaf. Baking time is however long it takes your machine.

    Recipe #264809

This rice is a tasty side for almost any meal.

    Recipe #214378

Despite the fact that they require few ingredients and little effort, these beans always get raves.

    Recipe #204740

Heres a new look at an old favorite. Yumm. I used 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/3 tsp of nutmeg, 1/2 a cup of brown sugar and a really good handful of raisins (not originally ask for at all). After all, isn't it the good stuff in the middle that makes a cinnamon bun?

    Recipe #198785

Low fat, simple and very tasty. This is a great way to get back on track after the Holidays but it's great at any time of the year! Save time by purchasing the squash already cut into cubes.

    Recipe #274742

A quick and oh so tasty use for broccoli. Yumm.

    Recipe #200623

(Diabetic Friendly) I really enjoy stir frys and this one is really good with the addition of the lemon juice. I usually put this on brown rice. Easy, tasty and healthy!

    Recipe #187096

I'll admit it, Valentina has us completely wrapped around her paw. She simply adores these tiny treats and the DH loves to give them to her for that reason. I'm happy too because I know that they aren't full of chemicals and preservatives and I don't mind slipping her one or two myself although we all know thats it's Dads job! I'm guessing at the yield because I've never really counted them. You can make bigger bites of you have a bigger "kid".

    Recipe #193519

Recipe created by Todd Wilbur at www.TopSecretRecipes.com. Marno McDermott was a successful Minneapolis restaurateur, opening a chain of Mexican restaurants in the seventies called Zapata's against the advice of skeptics who said he would never able to sell Mexican food to the large population of Scandinavians in the area. Marno proved them wrong then, and once again in 1976, when he partnered with Max McGee, a former Green Bay Packer football player, to open the first Chi-Chi's in Richfield, Minnesota. The restaurant was built inside a deserted Kroger grocery store and became instantly famous for the intensely flavored and larger-than-usual portions of food. To keep volume high, Chi-Chi's designed a custom computer-driven system that clocks every aspect of service from the time each server enters an order to when the order is placed in front of customers. Special attention was given to the design of the menus as well, with each dish taking no more than nine minutes to prepare, even during the rush hours. Since you're starting from scratch, this appetizer will probably take longer than nine minutes to make. You can choose to make the nachos from stor-bought tortilla chips or make them yourself from the *Tidbits (see below). Personally, I think the fresh, home-fried type tastes best. If you're up to the task, amigos, I say give it a go.

    Recipe #275930

Enjoy this beef, mushroom, and barley soup now and then freeze individual servings to enjoy later.

    Recipe #202863

Wait till you tell the kids whats for dinner on Halloween! These are guaranteed to be the most delicious rats you’ll ever eaten. Serve on a bed of worms tossed with blood (spaghetti mixed with rat sauce) or simply place on a mound of mashed potatoes and prepare for a ghoulish feast... The "rats" are the first 9 ingredients, the remaining make up the "blood"

    Recipe #186679

Stir fry's are so good and it's so easy to work a lot of veggies into a meal with them. I had some yellow bell pepper left from something else, that was chopped into this and it went perfectly.

    Recipe #191095

This is an adaption of the usual veal Schnitzel that makes it more affordable in my house. I think that it's just as good and it doesn't take all that long either. By all means use fresh herbs if you have them but I have to use dried because I can't grow them.

    Recipe #395542

I think that these are just about the untimate ginger cookies. If you don't over bake them they will maintain a softness that is so toothsome. Warning! These cookies are telepathic and will call to you from the cookie jar to come and get them.
