    This is my grandmother's recipe dating back years ago. It is a very light, airy dessert with a nice lemon flavor, and graham cracker crumbs on the bottom and top. It was always a favorite of mine when I was little and also with my children. No, you do not taste the evaporated milk when it is ready to eat. It's just a nice dessert when you need something that is not heavy.

    I first had this at a church supper. It was delicious and asked for the recipe. I was amazed to see that there were not many ingredients in it. I now make this one and alternate it with my regular one Recipe #102545. The Sweet & Spicy Meatloaf has only a few ingredients and is delicious, and my regular one has more in it, but is delicious too. This has a nice sauce on top. I always thought that if there were more ingredients in a meatloaf, it would taste better, but not necessarily so. This is very,very tasty!

    These three loaves are 100 percent whole wheat but very soft and light. I think that it is because there are four packages of yeast in them. The bread is great toasted.     A while ago as I was leafing through a magazine, I came upon a page advertising Crisco oil. I don't know why, but it caught my eye. It might have been the picture, or it might have been the way the recipe was printed on the page. I ripped the page out (it was my magazine) and tried it that night. My husband loved it--me too. I made everything according to the directions. I did make Guacamole to put on the top. The whole thing came out great; even the Enchilada sauce was delicious which I will use on other Mexican recipes. I have made it many times since.

    This sure is crazy but the best part is, you won't throw any leftovers away. A hairdresser gave me this recipe years ago. I make it about every two weeks (it takes me that long to collect enough leftovers in the freezer). The recipe below is for the crust. For the filling you use all the leftovers you have. I put them in small baggies (no matter how little there is) and freeze them. When you think you have enough to fill an 8" or 9" pie plate, take them out and you will find you have the most delicious supper you would imagine. You can use different meats together, leftover casseroles, veggies, rice, etc. They all blend. Bit pieces of steak, chops, hotdogs, chicken, sausage, anything. Use any leftover gravy if you have it, but there is no liquid specified in the filling. If I have gravy or any liquid, I put it in a baggie with the rest of the leftovers. It will look like it will be dry, but won't be. The only thing I add that is not leftover is some grated cheddar cheese on the top. It is different each time I make it, but oh, so good.

    This dates back before my grandmother. This is the only homemade ice cream sauce I knew about until I discovered my niece's five years ago. I have that one posted here on Zaar--Recipe #105043. But, this one that I am posting now, is easy, has only three ingredients, and is not too much on the sweet side, but on the chocolate side, and is thinner in consistency. It is really good on vanilla ice cream. It is worth a try from the thick, sweet sauces.

    I had made sugar cookies for more years than I want to count and never changed the recipe. But then one day, a lady at our church made this recipe for the kids at the Christmas program. My husband tasted them and told me to get the recipe. I rebelled at changing, but to please him, I tried them. Now, these are all I ever make. They are wonderful. I do use Crisco (shame on me because of the type of fat.) The lady said she had tried, and I did too, butter, and also half butter and half Crisco, but they didn't come out the same, but with the Crisco they are yummy.
