I love winter squash in any form. I tend to make it savory; not sweet. I was tired of the same o, same o, so came up w/ this. You could sub any hard squash you like i.e. butternut etc. Use any beer you want. I used cactus lime Mich Ultra
I use a spring form pan to make this recipe. It is a great one to use up leftovers, but I didn't here. Substitute any of the ingredients at your pleasure. Serves 4 by itself or 6 with a nice garden salad.
I had a craving for chili dogs, so that is what I planned for dinner. I assumed that I had a can of chili, but I didn't. So, this is what I came up with - It turned out great. I simmered the hot dogs in the sauce for the last 10 minutes of the cooking time. I didn't really measure when I was putting this together, so amounts are guestimates
You know when you get the craving for salt and vinegar chip and you eat about half a bag, then your done. I hate waste, so I came up with this recipe to get rid of the rest of the chips. I am trying to eat healthier and eating more fish, but the only fish I really like is the oilier ones like salmon. I'm also trying to steer clear of frying, so here is a baked white fish that is very tasty.
Use any cut of chicken you like and even skinless, but I wouldn't go boneless. You can also substitute smoked sausage for the fresh sausage. You need to plan a little bit ahead, but this recipe is very easy and you can put it together, throw it in the oven and forget it for an hour.
I put this together last night. I had thawed out a small pork roast a few days ago and needed to use it before went bad. The rest of the ingredients were things I had in the fridge or freezer (I had not been to the grocery in a while). I thought this came out great, although it is not very orginal.
