    The English influence on Quebec cuisine can be seen in the name of this recipe. "Pouding" comes from the English word pudding, but Quebec poudings are baked rather than steamed and so they resemble cakes more than English puddings. Posted for Zaar World Tour II.

    To quote Mme. Benoit,"In Quebec these were baked in deep brown earthenware pudding dishes and served on a hot wooden board or tray surrounded by autumn leaves or boughs cut from the Christmas tree.     A Beninese (West Africa) peanut recipe posted for Zaar World Tour II. 'Cooking time' includes sitting time. Don't be put off by the 'time to make'- most of the time it is just sitting! I am not sure how many sticks of peanut butter you get from this...if you try it, please let me know!
