Sweet bread with almond filling. From Cooks.com.

    Recipe #472213

Adapted from recipe found in magazine.

    Recipe #472212

Not your typical lasagna. The lack of ricotta makes this more diet friendly for us, and the feta really fits well with the flavors of the dish. We use brown rice pasta to suit our dietary needs, but wheat pasta would also work. If you don't have oven ready noodles, make sure to cook them prior to assembling the lasagna. Found on Chatelaine's website. Pairs nicely with a green salad.

    Recipe #472194

From the Dec/Jan 2008 issue of TOH, submitted by Marie Parker. I made a few changes to suit our preferences. You could also make this sandwich in a Panini maker.

    Recipe #449820

I made this for dinner tonight and was impressed. Simple but good. I found a few similar recipes posted, but not this exact one. I adapted this recipe (slightly) from a recipe found in the Shady Maple Employee Cookbook: Recipes from the Heart, a cookbook published by the employees of a restaurant I used to hostess at. The original recipe was submitted by Edna Horning. Serve with a green salad.

    Recipe #449817

A tradition for us to use up Thanksgiving Leftovers. If possible I enjoy it even more than Thanksgiving Dinner (I always have been a sucker for casseroles). Found in Dec/Jan 2008 issue of TOH. Submitted by Mary Lou Timpson. A lot of ingredients, and slightly labor intensive, but worth the effort. If you are using leftover potatoes skip steps 3-5, and 12.

    Recipe #449809

A "...luscious fruit-and-gelatin dish," shared by Constance Fennell in the June/July 2008 issue of Country magazine. I did not include refrigeration time. Prepare this the day before you would like to serve it.

    Recipe #449400

A simple sounding dessert found in the Dec/Jan 1999 issue of TOH. Submitted by Chere Bell

    Recipe #449344

"...fresh-tasting and festive-looking. It's the perfect light side dish for a big holiday meal." Found in the Dec/Jan 1999 issue of TOH. Submitted by Chere Bell.

    Recipe #449343

A fruity sauce to be served warm or cold as an accompaniment to baked or grilled meats. Found in the Dec/Jan 1999 issue of TOH. Submitted by Marlene Muckenhirn.

    Recipe #449342

Can be made to keep on hand for yourself, or to package and give as gifts. To give as a gift, place rice mix in pint sized Ziplock bags, labeled with instructions. Found in Dec/Jan 1998 issue of TOH. Submitted by Emily Chaney.

    Recipe #449058

Found in TOH's June/July 2008 magazine. Submitted by Mike Bass who says you can also substitute feta or cream cheese for the goat cheese.

    Recipe #448460

Sounds yummy. Found in a June/July 2008 issue of TOH. Submitted by Dixie Terry.

    Recipe #448363

From the Feb/Mar 2008 issue of TOH. Submitted by Heather Ewald, who received the recipe from her aunt Linda Klassen who was a missionary in Nigeria for 45 years.

    Recipe #447865

Found in the Oct/Nov 1998 issue of TOH. Submitted by Gayle Becker. I did make some minor changes.

    Recipe #447810

A holiday jello salad from Gloria Coates (found in Oct/Nov 2007 issue of Taste of Home). She says she garnishes it with fresh cranberries and mint leaves.

    Recipe #447662

An appetizer spread to serve with celery and carrot sticks or crackers. From a Sun-Maid recipe book (original called for white wine vinegar, but I only use apple cider vinegar).

    Recipe #447660

From the Taste of Home Cookbook. I searched and searched the website, and was surprised not to find this here. There are a ton of broccoli cheese soup recipes, but none with this seasoning combination, which I really thought was a winner. I made this last week to use up some broccoli and was really impressed. This calls for light ingredients, but use what you have on hand, that's what I typically do. Any kind of broth (except seafood) would work.

    Recipe #439281

Something very nice to come home to on a Sunday afternoon, especially in the fall or winter. The pork is super tender and everything smells and tastes wonderful. Serve with a tossed salad for a complete meal. You can also use golden mushroom soup instead of the cream of mushroom, or one of each. Also any kind of potato would work, but Yukon Gold, really stands out in this dish.

    Recipe #437914

Ok, so I know I don't like Martha and all, so I guess I should stop submitting her recipes. It's really her personality that grates on me, but she does have quite a few good recipes up her sleeve, and so I can't help but share when I come across one not already posted. This one is a very moist cupcake, with a nice durable frosting, which makes them great to transport. The brown sugar flavor makes them stand out from other cupcakes, and even though they are homemade, and taste like it, they are not overly difficult or time consuming to make.
