From the Feb/Mar 2008 issue of TOH. Submitted by Heather Ewald, who received the recipe from her aunt Linda Klassen who was a missionary in Nigeria for 45 years.

    Recipe #447865

Sweet bread with almond filling. From Cooks.com.

    Recipe #472213

I guess I saw this idea somewhere on Pintrest, but not sure where. I did switch things up and used different fruits. It's more of an idea than a recipe. Feel free to use whatever fruits/cheeses strike your fancy. Tried this for our 4th of July picnic. Super easy, fun, and a different twist on the flag cake or jello. This way I could serve something chocolate for dessert and there was still fruit for those who wanted it.

    Recipe #517159

Adapted from recipe found in magazine.

    Recipe #472212

A holiday jello salad from Gloria Coates (found in Oct/Nov 2007 issue of Taste of Home). She says she garnishes it with fresh cranberries and mint leaves.

    Recipe #447662

A tasty and refreshing salad. Nice to prepare ahead for company. An adaptation of a recipe from Marilyn Perzik on Allrecipes.com. I like to sprinkle the croutons on individual servings just before eating.

    Recipe #434207

A "...luscious fruit-and-gelatin dish," shared by Constance Fennell in the June/July 2008 issue of Country magazine. I did not include refrigeration time. Prepare this the day before you would like to serve it.

    Recipe #449400

This recipe is from Laurie Knoke as posted on allrecipes.com. It is similar to recipe # 358828, but it also includes a frosting. It's a nice "special" brownie, and my husband likes them even though he doesn't like walnuts. I haven't tried omitting them, but I'm sure the results would be fine.

    Recipe #430458

Found in Taste of Home December/January 1996, submitted by Norma Apel.

    Recipe #475183

Ok, so I know I don't like Martha and all, so I guess I should stop submitting her recipes. It's really her personality that grates on me, but she does have quite a few good recipes up her sleeve, and so I can't help but share when I come across one not already posted. This one is a very moist cupcake, with a nice durable frosting, which makes them great to transport. The brown sugar flavor makes them stand out from other cupcakes, and even though they are homemade, and taste like it, they are not overly difficult or time consuming to make.

    Recipe #436501

An easy and yummy dessert. This is an baked adaptation of recipe # 273931. The idea of frozen cannoli didn't appeal to me, so I tried this instead for more of a "cheesecakey" texture. You could add slivered almonds and maraschino cherries if you like, but we prefer it without.

    Recipe #430438

Simple slow cooker recipe adapted from Allrecipes.com.

    Recipe #472214

This is another favorite from my college's Dining Common recipe book. (They're really creative with the recipe titles, huh?) This is not a traditional chili recipe, as it has a more soup-like consistency, spaghetti noodles, and a mild taste but I enjoyed it very much. The Dining Common served this as a weekend lunch and the other choice was Tomato Soup, so there were saltines available and I used to crumble them into my bowl of chili.

    Recipe #431080

Fun dessert or snack bar I adapted from a recipe found in the April/May 2011 issue of Taste of Home. Originally submitted by Sherry Johnston. The magazine suggests cutting the bars with a serrated knife that has been run under hot water and dried, using a straight down motion as opposed to sawing motion, and wiping the knife clean in between cuts.

    Recipe #481652

Found in the Dec/Jan 1996 issue of Taste of Home, submitted by Patricia Kile.

    Recipe #474832

A very moist and yummy chocolate cake with a veggie serving mixed in. Seriously I have served this at the daycare I work at and NO ONE, not even the pickiest of vegetable avoiders noticed the zucchini. This was adapted from Eloise Swisher's recipe posted on allrecipes.com.

    Recipe #430418

"...fresh-tasting and festive-looking. It's the perfect light side dish for a big holiday meal." Found in the Dec/Jan 1999 issue of TOH. Submitted by Chere Bell.

    Recipe #449343

    An excellent breakfast biscuit.

    Recipe #429711

A nice summer, make ahead salad. I've been taking salads to work for lunch, as I often don't feel like hot food during the summer. This has a nice kick to it. Sometime I will try substituting dried cranberries for the raisins. Also if you don't have the turmeric, it's ok, it just adds nice color to the couscous. From Cooking Light June 2004.

    Recipe #434302

Found in Taste of Home December/January 1996 issue, submitted by Bonnie Durkin. Good for using up leftover turkey.

    Recipe #475525
