I adopted this recipe, but it is the same as one I make, I have used crab meat in it and I have also used ham flakes, great spread on crackers, or in celery stalks

So simple, fast, and tasty. Cook time is for Sea scallops (the large ones) if using the small Bay scallops reduce heat and cook time accordingly.

These are a wonderful change from carrots with butter only. I have a hard time getting my kids to eat carrots, but they love them this way!

This dish is a great way of using up leftovers, and is very versatile re: what meat/fish you use. My friend Donny made these for me and I loved them, I think the recipe originated in one of the Company's coming cookbooks, but both Donny & I have adjusted some stuff to our taste. Great pot luck addition.

These are really easy and tasty, good as an appetizer, or main, served with rice. Skewers can be assembled ahead of time, and refrigerated up to 4 hours.

This is a favorite appetizer, if you don't want to bother with the Phyllo Tart shells, you can just mix up the filling and serve with crackers.

I love thinly sliced crispy potatoes, and adding cheese to them just makes them all the better. I have searched for a recipe for this dish for a while, and I ended up combining parts of several recipes. I have tried lots of variations, this recipe is my favorite. But you can try differant cheeses, adding herbs, chives, green onions, etc...

These are really easy, can be made ahead, frozen etc... and are quite tasty warm or cold. If you are intimidated by phyllo dough (don't be, phyllo is your friend, and very forgiving) you could use Crescent dinner rolls, rolled and cut into squares, for the pastry.

I tried this at a concert on a boat in Toronto Harbour last summer, watching the "Carpetfrogs" perform, then I had to try a get a recipe, I basically combined ideas from several recipes that I found on the web, and I think this is pretty close, I have taken it to several functions and it is always a hit

This is a little different than some pork sates in that it does not have a peanut sauce. I made this for the appy party/Toolbelt birthday Party that Country Lady hosted, People said they liked it, maybe they were just being nice, but it does have a very nice flavour, and it is easy, so that always works for me. Oh yeah, I got this recipe off of recipe source, so yeah, I stole it, changed it slightly, but essentially it is the same.

an easy and tasty little appetizer that I made for one of Country Lady's famous appy parties (April 2009) I sometimes will subsitute 1 large onion carmelized slow and low for the shallots, I actually like it better with the carmelized onions, but I thought I should post the recipe as I prepared it for the party

Creamy baked rice and broccoli, an easy delicious side dish or light lunch with a salad and sliced tomatoes! My DD will only eat rice if cooked like this (or chinese) it is really easy, and tastes great! Good re-heated too! I have also used spinach or 1 cup of frozen peas instead of the broccoli. I think this came from a milk calander.

I was assigned this recipe for a Tapas party that was held for our Book Club discussion of Don Quixote. Even people who thought they didnt like mussels raved about this dish. I think because the mussel meat is chopped up and you dont have to get past the consistancy to enjoy the mussel. The recipe is taken from "Cocina nueva" The new spanish kitchen by Jane Lawson, a must read for Spanish food lovers. The only change I made was to reduce the topping ingredients, the recipe in the book made twice as much as needed.

My MIL makes these every Christmas, my kids love them, but they also claim that they hate dates, coconut, and walnuts! go figure! These keep for a really long time, so they are a good addition to your holiday treats to have on hand

This is an elegant, and fairly easy recipe, great change and less expensive than Beef Wellington, and when done individually, very easy to serve, and looks great on the plate!

My aunt used to make these when I was a kid, then I started making them for my kids, and now my DD makes them, they are very rich, you just want to eat a small slice at a time. Cook time shown is actually chill time.

An awesome snack! My mom used to make this every Christmas, and give some away in Christmas tins, or fancy jars. Makes a great hostess gift, or teacher gift- but now I just make it for myself and my family, usually two batches each Christmas!
